Some random Phantom Troupe headcanons while I fight writer's block

Chrollo gets really emotionally involved when reading, especially if he's alone. He will cry when his favorite character dies, but you'll never catch him in the act.

When Nobunaga's stressed out, he has nightmares about his hair falling out in clumps. He's usually looking in a mirror, horrified, while being completely unable to make it stop. When he wakes up, the first thing he does is check to make sure it's still there.

Feitan can't swim. If he ever finds himself in the water, he grabs whoever's closest to him and tries to climb on top of them. It's the only time you'll see him panic.

As a kid, Machi's hair would get super tangled constantly, and Uvogin would always brush it out for her.

Kalluto has a very naturally quiet voice. People are always telling him to speak up, even if he feels like he's yelling.

Phinks is a dog person. Since the dogs in Meteor City usually run wild and chase after kids, it's common to be at least a little uncomfortable around them, but Phinks finds something relatable in how they carry themselves. He would get one for himself if he weren't always on the move. He absolutely should not; he wouldn't train a dog properly.

Shalnark tried acid once and had the worst experience possible. Just a severely bad trip. He hated the feeling of being out of control and having his mind wander to places he usually stays away from.

Franklin is the best poker player in the group. He had a bit of a gambling problem in his youth, but has mostly recovered from it. Mostly.

Shizuku sleep walks. She avoids sleeping while on jobs because of this. Ironically, sleep deprivation only makes it worse.

Pakunoda's a vegan. Not for the health benefits, but because she feels bad for the animals. If you point out the irony of it to her, she just shrugs and says she likes animals better than humans.

Bonolenov hates cats, but cats love him. They like to tug on his bandages. Phinks and Shalnark think this is hilarious.

While Uvogin's not really super hygienic, he's weirdly particular about his teeth. Even when travelling, he'll find a way to brush and floss every day. He has used someone else's toothbrush to do so.

Kortopi first met Chrollo when he was trying to scam him with a duplicated item. Instead of being upset, Chrollo was impressed. Thus started a lifelong friendship.

Okay! I have a convoluted one for anyone who wants to answer 😈 Would you rather have to fight a chicken every time you step inside a vehicle of transportation OR fight an orangutan once a year?

For the chicken option: it is literally any more of transport and it only attacks you. Busses, planes, cars- if it's moving, the chicken is there, and it is coming. You don't have to kill it, but it will keep attacking you until one or both of you exit the vehicle.

For the orangutan: you get a sword. You don't know when or where the fight is. You just wake up one morning, and the sword is there. The orangutan has no weapons, but it immediately aggro's to you. You don't have to kill it, but it is trying to kill you.

S: Logically it'd be best to go with the orangutan. But that depends on what species, right? Like if it's the big one- Bornean Orangutan- then absolutely not. Even with a sword I'd die! But the chicken one is too inconvenient. I happen to drive so that's gonna be real annoying. But! I can confidently handle a chicken fight. If it's a Tapunuli Orangutan, I'd definitely go with that one.

Fe: Monkey. Once a year is less pointless annoying fight. Plus I get a sword.

P: I have a follow up question about the chicken. Do we get to, like, keep the dead chicken? If so, I want the chicken. That's free chicken.

S: Oh! That's a good point!! Depending on how you fight it, that is.

P: Either way, you get free meat.

S: You might actually be smart!

P: Hey...

B: ... I would fight the orangutan.

S: C'mon Bono, give us more!

B: .... my reason is the same as yours.

Fr: If Phinks' point is right then I'd fight the chicken. Technically, I don't even have to kill it. If I can catch one then I can even get eggs, right? Angry chicken, but free eggs. And I like chicken too. So that's a win win.
