hi,

iv been here for two months. I am loving it, although two nights ago I came home and made a salad and friend watching home videos. I know it sounds dumb but it was home videos. if anyone cares search Doug tennsnt. jk don’t not worth it.

we have not gone out nearly as much in 2018. its good because I have to fine my gala dress (if I even get it off. we will know tomorrow hopefully).next week we are going to go stay at pac rim that will be good because we are pretending to be baller af

OH my brothers came to visit before Christmas it was so good because  love them both so much 

Mikylo pretended to be hot shit then I showed my family videos (which I cried to a week after Christmas)  and he was tiny with big feet (ask Allie she noticed)

she said that because we are listening to drake (not my choice) but wise word f boys

anyways Christmas was great I got to go home and see my number one boy

Krista got milk and cookies for Santa and I remembered why Christmas meant so much to me, I decided to be a teacher because I don’t want to be a mom with no Christmas. thats why and thats whats going to happen. I enrolled..

due to high demand I have started my Tumblr up again. 

lets just say my life is just as magical as it was two yers ago in Disney, some may say more magical aka allie

SO MUCH FUN

when I first arrived here I was all alone because my roommates were living a boring life without knowing me yet

they arrived a day later and realized how much they were missing in their lives

I started work and I work a lot but the magic happens at night when I stay home and eat pizza.

We made it up the mountain a few times but recently it has been pretty icy and I have been working mainly morning which dampens the mountain time for sure

my apartment is two bedrooms with four girls, we generally have guest so you could say it gets squishy 

but im making it work

for real though I have the best roommates around and I am so grateful for all of them!! I will update soon

Christmas at the Grand Floridian

Jillian, Ema, and I stayed at the Grand Floridian for christmas eve and christmas night! 

The tree in the lobby was breath taking!

We just ate pizza and watched a christmas movie once we had gotten off work on christmas eve!

We had character breakfast on Christmas morning! It was really good!

Drew came and met Ema and I once Jillian had left for work and we went to the Polynesian for drinks! 

I would be lying if tears were not shed on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I have really learnt the value of family and friends (So grateful for Ema and Jillian these past few days). I do not think I ever want to be away from my family for Christmas ever again. I did enjoy a coffee on the balcony while reading christmas cards and opening gifts!

Dine in movie!

That Sunday I went to a dine in movie and it was amazing! I had never done that before and it was completely worth it! We saw Sisters, it was decent!

Magic Kingdom

We went to magic kingdom in December and it was crazy! It actually wasn’t awful (because it is so magical always) but it was busy! We got starbucks and then went on the jingle cruise, which is hilarious! but when we got starbucks the most magical moment happened! The woman asked my name so I said “Erin” (obviously) but then WHEN THEY CALLED MY NAME THEY SAID “princess erin” I was literally so happy all day! (and they didn't do this for everyone because I was paying attention)

Weekends in December

Having weekends off is the best. December 18th, Ema and I had big plans for the day, but typical florida it began to downpour. So Ema, Drew, and I watched love actually and ate croissants. 

Later that day when the rain stopped, we headed to disney springs to get presents for family and secret santas! We went for a good Italian dinner and then for margaritas (milkshakes for ema). We chatted a lot about how surreal our lives were and that that seems like a boring day off!

We also discovered that it gets real cold in Florida sometimes.

December 11th, 12th, and 13th

On friday the 11th Jillian, Ema, and I did all our christmas shopping! We were very productive and we also went to lunch at disney springs! Later that night we watched christmas movies and wrapped all the gifts we had bought!

(I also was informed I got the days off I wanted for the new year!!)

On Saturday Jillian and I made a trip to MK. It was soooo busy but somehow we were able to get fast passes for pirates, space mountain, and thunder mountain. It was a super fun afternoon!

That night we went to cowboys! My mom had sent my boots and I got them!!! so I was super excited to finally have boots!

On Sunday Kevin and I went to typhoon lagoon! It was a lot of fun. It still blows my mind that I can go to a waterpark in December no problem! They have such a cool waterslide there that is essentially a rollercoaster!

Beginning of December

Ema and I went around the world in Epcot the first weekend of december. We enjoyed a margarita in Mexico and got out duffys stamped around the world! (We may or may not have been within a metre of NPH)

The next day Rachel and I went to the Candlelight Processional with Whoopi Goldberg and it was sooo magical. It definitely brought tears to my eyes. We had the dining package so we went for lunch in the UK and it was super yummy. 

(we may have waited three hours in line to get front row)

As per usual on the sunday Anthony, Kevin, and I went to universal studios. I went on duelling dragons for the first time.. I am making my way up to the big rides haha.

 Formal was on the Monday night. Kevin, Jillian, Ema and I got a room at coronado springs (where the formal was) and stayed there for the night. It was so nice to stay at a hotel and I got my first magic band (although they wrote my name in sharpie on it...). 

Kevin also turned the AC down to 62 degrees, so we froze to death. IT was a really fun night and Jillian and I cried from laughing so hard for a good couple hours.

Wednesday after work we went out to Ibar. SO as usual after work I was rushing to get to the bus. Walking into the cast services building my foot got caught on the ledge and I fell so hard. It was honest so painfully embarrassing but it was also physically painful too. I pulled my butt muscle and I gave myself such bad carpet burn on my knee it bled. A pen in my bag also exploded so all in all it was fantastic (a day in the life of Erin)

The month of November

In the last week of November, with a full moon lurking in the sky, strange things began to happen at epcot. For example, I got hit by an ecv (an electric scooter). Sitting at the table at kidcot this old woman approached on a scooter and just did not stop driving as she hit the table I was sitting at and continued to push me until I was pinned in between the table and the wall. There were boxes on each side of me so I could not get out of my seat and as annoy put it “you just sat there and accepted your death”

Later that day this man came up to me and was staring at me/my name tag. He eventually said “oh your name is Erin” (like not friendly but more like confused) and I was like yeah. Then he was like 

“oh you look like Elizabeth Smart”.

 Not knowing who she was I replied with: 

“Ive never heard that before, I have no idea who she is, what is she in?” 

He then said “I am not up with pop culture, she was in the news, tragic things happened to her” And then just continued to stare at me.... it was eerie. 

   BUT to even out the playing field of those that are eerie and those that just don’t know I was also asked if the “states of canada were called districts” (but don't worry he started the sentence with “I haven't been in school for a while)

Also had an american ask me how to say Saskatchewan because they had never heard of it before... 

And to start of the month of December I was told “You are as beautiful as the views of Canada” 

.....when I told my mom she asked if he was drunk.... THANKS MOM

Okay other stuff that happened in November..

November 14th was our two month anniversary of being at disney so as any person would do Jillian, Kevin, and I rented a peddle boat! It was actually super fun.

Anthony, Kevin, and I have annual passes to universal studios and we have gone on a couple Sundays. One sunday we went and then realized that Flo Rida was playing that night so we stuck around for the concert. It was actually relatively decent except for how sexist he was (which is obvious). I knew every song he sang and it brought me back to first year university and even high school (apple bottom jeans)

Also Flo Rida = Florida (incase you couldn’t put two and two together, it was tough for kevin)

November?

OKAY now I am definitely the worst. But in my defence my laptop charger broke and I had to order a new one online! 

November went by super quick, while stamping the passports yesterday at kidcot I literally thought the stamp was wrong when it said Dec 01 (and partly because it was 27 degrees out).

Anyways, I took a few notes on my phone while my laptop was dead: On November 8th, Kate and jack came to visit. We went to Epcot in the morning then played in the lazy river at their hotel and then went to magic kingdom for mickeys very merry Christmas party. It was so nice to see them and it made me feel super loved. 

Kate was complimenting me continuously and it was so nice. She stated "Erin is the only princess in Orlando" (I teach them young). We also got on the topic of the tooth fairy. She asked me if I believed in the tooth fairy, and I said absolutely (because who doesn't) and she said "I don't really know if I do because if we ever get a treat it's the same that was already in the house" - I then replied with "maybe the tooth fairy sees its in your house and therefore knows you like it so that's why she gives you that" I mean logic right. Work has been alright. Long days and some ignorance. All I have to say is that I am soooo grateful that my parents taught me respect. The number of people that do not believe I am from Canada is crazy. I really don't know why someone would wear our costume unless they really had too.... Also today a girl came up to me and said her mom sent her to talk to "the pretty Barbie one" -thanks I guess?

It is now November 7th

And I am not too sure what exactly has happened between halloween and now. I have pretty much just been working. This week I had Wednesday and Friday off because I covered a shift for one of the girls whose family was visiting. On Wednesday Rachel and I went to epcot and we wondered around, I got a croissant with escargot and it was very garlic-y and very good (if you know me you know my obsession with garlic). 

We also got ice cream in france and it was very good. The smell of the waffle cone alone is enough to make you drool... and not just for people like me who drool all the time for no reason at all.

That night we went to Jellyrolls which is a duelling piano bar on disney’s boardwalk. It was super cool and a very good time. There is free popcorn there so like how could it not be a good time... but it was really impressive actually. It would take a lot of skill to be able to sing like they do WHILE playing piano, and literally they play any and every song

Halloween weekend and so on

Alright so my last post said I was lacking and now I have proved it... 

I have been working like crazy but I was super lucky to have all of halloween weekend off. On friday Jillian and I searched all over for costume ideas, we went to cast connection for the first time (which is a store with discounted products for disney cast members). 

Saturday we had a game plan, we went to lunch with kevin and then went to get fabric at a fabric store. Colin, Anthony and I were beanie babies and I was a unicorn so we made a colourful tutu for me. (not going to lie I was a tad under the weather all day...)

We went to a block party downtown orlando, and yes dt orlando is as sketchy as you would think. It was all and all a great night.

October 24th and 25th

So I have been lacking with my blog posts and I am sorry! This past week was crazy though and I was so happy to have survived. I worked mandatory overtime on Friday so I didn't get my three regular days off :( 

(I still got two days off though, and they were great)

On Saturday Jillian and I went to Cocoa Beach. It was sooo nice and I think it was the first time I had been in the analeptic ocean on this side of the world. (I went in when we were in France a few years back). The beach is about an hour drive away so it isn't too bad at all. 

On the way home from the beach we got ourselves some milkshakes and went to trader joes (Always the best choice). We then hung out at her place and watched scream with Anthony!

On Sunday, Kevin, Anthony and I went to universal studios for the first time. I bought an annual pass because it made the most sense. It was pretty cool there, there are a lot of stimulation rides (which are my favourite) and harry potter world is sooo cool! I had some butterbeer. 

The water rides literally got us soaked, we didn’t believe the signs when they told us!

Sunday October 18th

MICKEY’S NOT SO SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY

Ema and I went to Mickey’s not so scary halloween party and it was AMAZING!

The parade was unbelievably good and we got to meet Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas! We also got lots and lots of candy and watched a show with Hocus Pocus and the Boogie monster!

(They obviously didn’t know what tweedles were)

Of course (before getting changed, thankfully) I had an incident with the mayo. Pretty much I was trying to squirt a little on my hamburger bun and it shot out as nasty water and soaked my bun and sprayed all over me. Atleast disney gave me chocolate cake to say sorry.

October 14th - ONE MONTH

We are one month in! The time has gone so fast but it feels like I’ve known the people forever. 

On Monday it was Canadian thanksgiving, so while signing passports at kidcot I would ask the kids what holiday it was in Canada. Most of them wouldn’t know so I would give them a hint “We eat turkey on this day” then most of the kids would guess thanksgiving and all was well. This one little girl came up and we went through the same thing, when I gave her the hint of eating turkey she said with such confidence “valentines day” - It was too funny. 

The managers gave us a Canadian Thanksgiving at work it was really sweet and then after work I went to a Canadians for another dinner, I ate a lot of pumpkin pie. 

Over the weekend Kevin, Ema, and I went to Animal kingdom. It was a really good day; I went on mount everest with only minor anxiety, it was a lot less scary than I thought. We also ate at the Yak and Yeti which was really good asian food. Kevin and I defeated the Kali river rapids with only little splashes, and Ema lost her phone for 7 hours to have to at lost and found at the days end. My favourite ride is Dinosaur (Where ema lost her phone and Kevin nearly cried from being so scared) Im excited to do it again.
