Toxic Masculinity
A 24 year old started randomly messaging me on Facebook. Keep in mind that I am 41, married, and have 5 kids (the oldest is 21). He was being flirty, which was flattering, but I tried to gently, but firmly shut him down. He immediately went on the defense. And then...he sent an unsolicited “pic”...sigh...how is this acceptable??? It was like a light switch. He went from being (however misguided) sweet to being rude and childish. Then he sent the pic...UG! Is this supposed to change my mind? Is this supposed to make me want him??? This is why I’m doing my best to raise my boys right. To respect whoever they decide to pursue and not be total pricks.
