Love how tumblr has its own folk stories. Yeah the God of Arepo we’ve all heard the story and we all still cry about it. Yeah that one about the woman locked up for centuries finally getting free. That one about the witch who would marry anyone who could get her house key from her cat and it’s revealed she IS the cat after the narrator befriends the cat.

there's a thing where someone will hear a disabled person talk about how awful it is to be unable to get out of bed all day, and they'll think "I wish I was in bed all day." like there is a disconnect.

why aren't you in bed all day? because you need to work, to keep up with your responsibilities to other people, to bathe and exercise and move your body, all sorts of reasons.

disabled people still have all those things going on. they also need money and have responsibilities to other people and want to feel clean and move their bodies. they suffer the same consequences you would for not doing them.

you know that keeping up with all those things, even when exhausting, works out better for you in the long run than staying in bed all day, which is why you do them. it's such an obvious choice it doesn't even feel like you have a choice.

there is a difference between not needing to do all those things and not being able to do all those things. that's disability.

Tämä hallitus on Orpon hallitus. Se ei ole Orpo-Purran hallitus. Se on Petteri Orpon hallitus, joka juuri toimii niin, kuin Petteri Orpo sen haluaa toimivan. Petteri Orpo ei ole joku poloinen vedätetty lapanen, vaan ihan yhtä kylmäverinen vallankäyttäjä, kuin kuka tahansa kauhisteltu persu. Orpolla olisi pääministerinä valta laittaa peli poikki. Hän ei sitä tee, koska perussuomalainen politiikka sopii hänelle oikein hyvin.

Orpo ja kokoomus pitää saattaa vastuuseen, eikä suinkaan antaa niiden piiloutua persujen selän taakse.

It‘s scary to see how very important european petitions get no visibility whatsoever. We had a basic income petition last year which failed because not enough people knew about it. Now we have a „tax the rich“ one that only lasts until october this year and only has around 250k out of 1 mio. signings.

Most EU people go through their every day life w/o knowing about them. There are no ads, no marketing…nothing. I know that costs money though one might think important petitions that lead to a better and progressive life would be supported by the government or ministries in some way, but nooooo

And why should they? It’s petitions that would help out the poor and middle class, but endanger capitalism and their exploitation, sooo: government and business leads for example.

Sit ku saikkurahat loppuu ja kuntoutustuki hylätään, niin soitetaan Kelaan JA työeläkevakuutusyhtiöön ja pyydetään semmonen plara ku RATKAISUMUISTIO niiltä vakuutuslääkäreiltä. Oon yrittäny pyytää siis tämmöstä lappuu aiemmin, mut en oo saanu mitään, koska en oo tienny tätä sanaa RATKAISUMUISTIO. Se, et halusin tietää tarkoin, millä perustein hakemus oli hylätty, ei riittänyt, vaan jostain ois pitäny tietää tää termi, vaikkei sitä missään opeteta. No, nyt jaan oppimani tiedon!
