This powerful image captures the face of a wounded Palestinian woman whose hijab is soaked in blood—likely her own or that of a loved one. Her eyes tell a story of unimaginable pain and strength in the face of loss. She stands in a chaotic hospital hallway, surrounded by others in distress. As an oppressed and weak woman from Gaza, I see myself in her. I, too, have suffered greatly—my baby, Qais, was injured in the war, and the hospital refused to treat him because we cannot pay. Please, I beg you to help us. Your donation can provide the medicine and care Qais urgently needs.

Life in Gaza is unbearable for women like me.

1. I wait in line for two hours just to bring food back to our tent - food that is never enough.

2. I clean the shoes of strangers on the street-just to earn a few coins for Qais's medicine.

3. We were turned away from the hospital-they said no money, no treatment, even for a child as young as Qais.

I carry this pain in silence, but I cannot bear it alone anymore. The woman in this picture used her hijab to try and save her son's life. I am doing everything I can to save mine. But without help, I fear I will lose him too. Please, Donate anything you can-no matter how small. Even a few dollars could mean a meal, a medicine dose, or a chance for Qais to live. 🖤Shadowheart She notices it when Tav defends her without hesitation during a tense moral debate at camp. Her heart stutters. They chose me, even when it wasn’t easy. Later, she catches herself watching them laugh by the fire and realizes she’s memorized the sound. She’s afraid to name it love—but it’s already blooming in her guarded heart.

🧙Gale Gale realizes it when Tav listens to one of his long-winded tales without a single trace of boredom, smiling all the while. Then they ask a question—genuine curiosity in their eyes. It hits him like a well-placed Fireball. They see me. Not Mystra’s castaway. Me. His affection becomes a quiet, constant ember he tries to nurture, not smother.

🐍Lae’zel She doesn’t understand the ache in her chest when Tav praises someone else. During a battle, she sees them wounded and charges in without thinking—rage and fear mingling in her scream. Later, as she watches them sleep peacefully, her fists clench. What is this weakness? Then she realizes: it’s not weakness. It’s love. And it infuriates her.

❤️‍🔥Karlach It hits her mid-laugh. Tav just said something ridiculous and she’s cackling, spark-engine pulsing with warmth. She looks at them, grinning like an idiot, and her breath catches. Oh no. I’m in deep. She panics, blurts something dumb, then runs off to do pushups until she cools down. But the grin won’t fade, and her heart’s already theirs.

🐻Halsin He notices it slowly, like the growth of a tree—quiet, steady, undeniable. Tav touches his hand in thanks after a battle, and his breath catches. Their presence feels like home. One morning, watching them help a child in need, he sees not just strength, but immense kindness. I would walk beside them for the rest of my days, he thinks.

⚔Wyll It creeps in during the dances, the late-night stories, the stolen glances. When Tav calls him “noble” without irony, it stirs something fragile in his chest. He sees them offer kindness to the helpless and firmness to evil, and it fills him with warmth. This isn't admiration. It's love. And for once, he hopes the fairy tale ends with him.
