I always go through phases where I either despise life and everything that I must do to be seen and feel worthy enough of living OR I love being alive with everything in me because what is life for if not to feel alive but recently, it’s been a mix of both. I’m actually more thankful for the mix than I thought I would be. Even though life has moments where it fucking sucks I’m glad that I’m feeling a lot better than I did a month ago. Cut people off, find a new hobby, break up with your partner if you know it’s not working. Do whatever you feel necessary because ultimately, you’re stuck with you for the rest of your life, even after everyone leaves, so find something that makes you feel alive even if it takes a bit of searching. You will turn out okay. Let yourself live.

NEED the aftg fandom to stop demonising andrew just let him exist. sleeping with his arms draped over the steering wheel, smashing his racquet against the wall when he got scored on, staring at neil in silence for a full minute after finding out what the foxes named the cats, "what are you doing with a maserati?" "driving it.", drinking hot chocolate and watching movies with bee, buying neil armbands so he doesn't have to see his scars, running up and down the stairs in the stadium, falling asleep on the beanbag in the dorms, muttering something that makes renee laugh under his breath during an interview, studying criminology for the shits n giggles, clocking jeremy immediately and going back and gossiping to renee about it, buying clubbing clothes for neil, UGH andrew minyard you will always be loved by me.

I think one of my favourite things in all of the aftg series is the fact that Neil is an unreliable narrator. I don’t necessarily mean in a way where he’s dishonest but rather that he just doesn’t care to give enough details about the things he doesn’t care about.

I mean one of the best examples of this is Aaron. Aaron isn’t actually that bad of a guy given how he grew up and he’s shown multiple times throughout the story that he does care and even has a smidge of respect for Neil towards the end of the series but Neil doesn’t like him, so he doesn’t give all the details about Aaron and the way that he acts.

I see a lot of time in fandom that Aaron is always seen as the ‘asshole” character that doesn’t really deserve all that much strictly because we don’t get enough information about him through the eyes of Neil. Like, it’s shown in book two that Aaron cares enough about Andrew that he’s faster than Neil in rescuing him. He’s FASTER THAN NEIL. Of course everyone is welcome to their own opinions but I just personally like Aaron’s character and how deeply emotionally complex he is.

Anyway so I’m gonna start The Golden Raven and I’m shaking in my boots. A friend of mine sent the sample off Amazon and I’m so excited to read this book. I’m jumping around with joy and whimsy.

I’ve started a new book to listen too (the actual book is to expensive) while I do my work. I am going in blind. Is this a good idea from what I know about Captive Prince? Absolutely not. Am I going to do it regardless of the fact that it’s not a good idea? Yeah, obviously.

This might just be a me thing because I’m overly sensitive when it comes to the raven boys but when I tell you I SOBBED at the mention of the blink-182 sticker on the dash of Noah’s car.

Like hear me out for a second, right? Noah’s bones, his car, and his ghost are the only true thing that proved he was once a living, breathing human being. His car was literally left in the forest to rot just as he was and yet there was a half eaten cheese burger and a blink-182 sticker on the dash and all at once you’re reminded of how much of a teen boy Noah really was. I CAN’T DO THIS RAHAODLSPWN

Noah you might’ve been a bit of an ass when you were alive but you deserved so much better :(

I don’t think I’m ever going to get over Andrew and Neil’s relationship because what do you mean they’re complete opposites that just don’t work on paper (ex: Andrew hates lies but Neil and his life is built off of lies) and yet they work amazingly together. Their relationship is as healthy as it can be based off the people they are and how they grew up and they match each other so well “I’m not a hallucination” “you are a pipe dream” STOP BECAUSE WHAT DO YOU MEAAANNN
