Went to the lab and worked on analysing some substrates for my research project

Finished reading “Strangers: Essays on the Human and Nonhuman”

Started preparing for my term-time internship by reading some material on the developments in the renewable energy sector

Started a MATLAB online course

I haven't really started to organize my stuff for this semester, but I did some other things today ˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶

Set my goals:

i'll be taking 4 theoretical classes and 1 laboratory class. Every grade (including final!) is over 20. So, using my finals grades for last semester, I have set the grades Im aiming for this one.

⭑ Electromagnetism I → 16 or over

⭑ Classical Mechanics II → 15 or over

⭑ Mathematical methods for physics → 16 or over

⭑ Electronics → 15 or over

⭑ Electronics Lab → 17 or over

Other goals I have (semi) related to academics are:

⭑ Daily screentime (not counting studying or games) < 2h

⭑ Hit the gym 3 times a week

⭑ Drink at least 1 1/2 L of water daily

⭑ Read, write or do crafts for x time each day

for this last goal I wrote each activity in little pieces of paper; I also did this for 15 min, 30 min, and 1 hour. So, every day I'll grab one of each randomly and that will determine what ill do ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ

2. Studied the Dirac delta function (╥﹏╥)

I've been told my electromagnetism classes are quite hard so im reading the textbook Introduction to Electrodynamics by David Griffiths. It starts with math that is going to be used later (most of it I already know so I skimmed over it). I got to the section of the Dirac delta function which is new to me. I guess it isn't that hard but im a little scared of how it will be applied (｡•́︿•̀｡) I spent like 45 min on it.

One thing I love about studying math is that when you ask any fellow student or prof why they went into math we all say it’s because we find it beautiful. It’s so diametrically opposed to the opinion that everyone else has about math that it feels like some kind of virus that infects you and makes you unable to study anything else

I know probably no one is going to see this but hiiii anyways!!! im finn, im in my 3rd year of university and I study physics. I created this blog to motivate myself and share a bit of my daily life as a student, and maybe share experiences with people like myself. my next semester will be starting soon so I think I'll be posting my day-to-day preparations for it, even if nobody sees them hehe
