As someone who has been obsessed with both Bill Cipher and Aku for a little over a decade now I’ve thought about this question a million times and I feel like I got a lot to say about this but even after all these years people still bring up great points that I’ve never thought of.

If it was just Aku and Bill put into a room and it’s just them throwing hands then they would probably be doing that forever since Bill wouldn’t be able to kill Aku because he can't be destroyed by anything and the sword needs to be wielded by someone with a pure heart to work. It would only work if maybe Bill used a weapon or something that could kill Aku which doesn’t exist…. except it just might.

See in the episode the Birth of Evil we learn that Aku is just a small fragment of what is called the Black Mass which is just this mindless thing flying around space. Now what the gods use to kill the Black Mass is not obviously the sword but their own weapons. Odin uses his spear Gungnir, Ra uses a heka, and Rama uses his bow Sharanga.

Now I know these gods in the show are probably supposed to represent righteousness and goodness but I don't know if I would describe them that way. Like Odin ripped out his own eye to see into the future and hung himself on a tree to know what dying was like. Doesn't sound evil but doesn't feel very "pure of heart" either. Maybe that’s why the gods didn’t go after Aku themselves because they couldn’t so they sent a righteous human to do their dirty work instead.

Anyway, that’s speculation. Either way, there are other weapons that could potentially kill Aku since he is made from the Black Mass. Bill is a reality warper and supposedly all-knowing, so he might use that to his advantage.

Bill is honest to god so OP he could totally recreate their weapons or like kill them or mind control them and then that’s probably it for Aku.

I also want to mention that like Bill is a threat to the MULTIVERSE. Aku is mostly a threat to Earth and like maybe the Milky Way where he goes and grabs shit from other planets so the people of that planet have no where else to go but to Earth where they HAVE to beg for his mercy. Kind of a power move if you ask me.

Maybe Aku can warp reality he does do it briefly with the Imakandi but that was like one episode and it never really happens again and honestly Aku is already intimidating enough, and he has ruled Earth for thousands, he really doesn’t need to warp all of reality and hop dimensions to be scary.

And for the sake of the show Aku having that kind of power just doesn’t make sense since any Jack vs Aku fight would be done in two seconds if Aku could just snap his fingers and rearrange Jack’s body and organs. Or maybe not I mean we are talking about Samurai Jack.

But either way I think for me it's probably gonna be Bill. I mean when Bill fights he gives it his all. When Aku fights he either gives up when it gets too hard like with the Jewel of Neptune in Jack and the gangsters or he flies off because he's a coward which is literally a running gag in the show.

I'm not suprised that people are saying that Aku would win. He is very powerful and rules the world for thousands of years unchallenged but in my honest opinion Aku is lazy af. Meanwhile Bill spent a BILLION years just to get into our world and constantly failed but just kept fucking with people.

Aku probably would have tried but then either would have gotten irritated, killed whoever he was working with, backstabbed them, or sent a minion to do his work. Aku fights Jack 1-on-1 maybe 6 to 7 times in the show most of it is done by his minions. And I feel like if Bill really wanted let's say the Jewel of Neptune I don't think there would be anything in the universe that would stop him until he gets what he wants.

But anyway that's my opinion and my interpretation of the characters enjoy these beautiful screen shots of Aku getting his ass whooped by the elemental goddesses from Jack and the gangsters because they crack me up (the last one is my favorite)

Ope I guess this post is making its rounds for whatever reason. Look I just wanna say I made this post like two years ago and I mostly made it to have fun making silly gifs of slugterra and in the episode Eli and Junjie are like competing with each other to see like who is the best slugslinger I can't remember.

The point is it was all in good fun but I don’t really appreciate having my post be reblogged to scold people who like the ship or use it as like a life lesson. I personally don't even ship it, it was just funny how Eli like winked at Junjie. Look I get it Eli is 15 and Junjie is… confusing. I don't think the writers were really thinking that deep about what age he's supposed to be and they never really explain it. Like honestly from what I remember they were like you were the dark slinger for like 20 years… anyway let’s move on the Dai Fu is doing evil shit again.

Anyway there are weirder and even more problematic ships out there it’s just best block it or the people who ship them and move on. The internet is full of freaks and you’re not gonna stop them it’s just best to stay in your own lane.

Okay why has no one talked about how in Stuff of Legend it feels like Eli and Junjie are flirting with each other

Like they challenge each other in like the gayest way with Eli saying he hasn’t thanked Junjie yet for teaching him for being as great as a master as he is. And then Junjie replies with a well you can thank when you are one like what?!?!

And Eli accepts that as a challenge and they decide to try and hit a can off of a rock and there’s like…. so much tension 😂

And then they do THAT for the ENTIRE of the episode. Like against the Pyritor and then they are in like a life or death situation and they’re like oh I held up two pillars oh really I held up three. Well I held up 20 like boys boys please 😂

Thank god for Trixie though as she clearly is not having any of it and it’s so funny how she yells at all of them Can we go now?!?! 😂

And once again I have to give a shout out to some Eli faces in this. Now in gif form 😂

Honestly this episode was great and a lot of fun considering the other contenders are second chance and get pronto which are not my favorites. Shout out to the gays, gals, and nonbinary pals

just finished a full samurai jack rewatch and instead of giving thoughtful analysis & critique i'm gonna goof around

i think the priestess should've like. at least wrote to aku. let him know about the kids.

I haven't even watched Samurai Jack (should I?) but a brief glance in Tumblr tags made me come to the conclusion that Scaramouche is most often tagged with "scaramouche samurai jack".

I can't tell you whether you should watch Samurai Jack.

What I can tell you is this: it's a very pretty very atmospheric show—gorgeous backgrounds, long sequences with no dialogue—so if you want to just stare and absorb the atmosphere it's a great show, but if your attention span is short and you aren't in the mood to lengthen it it's a difficult watch. If you've got the attention span it's got some of the most beautiful sequences to come out of a kid's cartoon produced for a mainstream market.

It's very episodic until the final season, and you see a whole lot of strange places and meet a whole lot of interesting characters, once. Most of the one-time characters sorta do their job but don't leave an impression. You might cry over a robot with a silly-looking dog.

For the first four seasons there's only three regularly recurring characters: the hero, the villain, and some dude that shows up like,, three or four times or so? In the fifth season we make it up to six recurring characters wow

It bounces back and forth between hard scifi and high fantasy and then sometimes there's a town being devastated by a farting dragon

it toes the line between "mixed martial arts/samurai epic" and "goofy over-the-top hyperexaggeration of a mixed martial arts/samurai epic." This is a Western show made with a target audience of weeaboos.

Aku spends an entire episode in disguise crossdressed as a hot human babe. I don't think Jack was ever in drag but one time he wore high heels and looked good doing it. I don't know if that's important to you but it's important to me.

Also Jack's clothes get ripped off a lot in the heat of combat. That's not important to me but it might be important to you.

If part of the reason you're asking me if you should watch the show is because my post on Scaramouche intrigued you, you oughta know that he only appears in the final 5th season and he's in like three episodes.

Because the show's been over almost eight years (and the final season came after a hiatus of 13 years), there are a lot of people like "oh yeah I watched that show, I remember it, it was good" but not a lot of people actively currently participating in the fandom.

None of this is to persuade you or dissuade you from watching it, but to tell you stuff that might impact how much you wanna see it.

I think the funniest thing you could do to the "give me liberty or give me universal omnicide!" guy who tried & failed to conquer Earth is stick him in group therapy with the guy who successfully conquered & tyrannically oppressed earth for thousands of years.

A few weeks ago in one of my servers we got asked "what other villains do you think could hold their own against Bill in a fight?" and then "what other characters do you think would get sent to Theraprism?" at almost the same time and I haven't been able to stop thinking about subjecting Bill & Aku to each other since.

I think they'd hate each other's guts.

I came up with a new warming up exercise. Use weird pose references that can't be translated into Bill's anatomy, and find the way to do it anyway. You end up with surprisingly cool poses!

This was really fun and I got to practice hands.
