The day Papyrus found the human.
“HEY SANS, I MADE MYSELF LOOK LIKE A COOL DUDE!” Papyrus swirled around in his swivel chair quickly, looking up from the computer. Sans used to be outside of the room, but interestingly he was no longer there. It took a couple seconds for Papyrus to realize where his brother might have went to, and realized that he probably went outside to his post. When Papyrus checked his watch, he then quickly noticed the time.
It was 5 minutes after when he was supposed to be out on watch.
“SANS WHY DID YOU LEAVE WITHOUT ME?” Papyrus yelled when he knew he was right near Sans’ sentry station, and turned the corner to see his brother sitting there lazily.
“Oh, sorry you were so into your drawing thing that I decided to let you take a break, bro,” Sans said lazily.
“WHAT? ME! TAKE A BREAK?!” Papyrus looked at his brother incredulously. Sans shrugged with his legs reclined on his station, eyes half open.
“Yeah, bro, definitly! Like I feel you could take a day off if you’d want to!” The fact that Sans mentioned that idea to Papyrus made Papyrus quite annoyed.
“BUT IF I DO THEN WE CAN’T CAPTURE A HUMAN! A HUMAN WOULD WALK RIGHT BY YOU SANS, AND THEN WE WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO CAPTURE IT! (AND ALSO I WANT TO MEET A HUMAN TOO, SANS, YOU KNOW THAT WAS ONE OF MY LIFELONG DREAMS)” Papyrus argued. Sans shrugged at his brother, and Papyrus walked up to the sentry, seemingly excited.
“I DO HAVE SOMETHING TO SHOW YOU, HOWEVER!” Papyrus chirped to his brother, who looked at him curiously. “WHEN WE GET HOME! IT’LL BE GREAT!”
“Ok, bro, feel free to show me it after we finish this, however,” Sans smiled at Papyrus, and Papyrus did the same, as Papyrus ran down the path on his everyday daily routine.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A couple months later, Papyrus saw a human.
Yes, Papyrus saw a human. We’re not making that up. Like, seriously, it’s on the blog here @undertaleswitchtale. Calm down, and check it out.
Papyrus was going down a normal day that consisted of his brother hanging out around the station and Papyrus running up and down the paths of Magmount, laughing at the jokes that he thought about in his head. The only time he stopped “Nyeh”ing was when he saw an unusual shape on the path through Magmount.
He was almost certain it was a human. Papyrus quickly felt in his pocket if the picture he put in there weeks before was still there, and was happy when he felt the piece of paper right where it was supposed to be.
Papyrus’ plan was to give the human a whole lot of puzzles to make the human be friends with him. But when he made the beautifully crafted version of his Cool Dude picture by adding  a picture of spaghetti to the background, he changed his mind.
He decided to just go ahead and give the picture to the human. Clearly, the human would love the picture, and would be his friend. That’s the only logical conclusion to the problem at hand.
“Nyeh he he…” Papyrus said under his breath menacingly in the fog where the human couldn’t see him. The human whirled around, but only Papyrus could see it. He ran off and summoned at orange axe attack which flew behind the human where they couldn’t see it. They twirled around again, but couldn’t see the attack.
That's how great the Great Papyrus was. Clearly the most greatest of greatest.
Very much a Cool Dude.
Papyrus, cackling under his breath, said “Nyeh” over and over as the human ran in fright of his michevious ways. He thought the human running was halarious, and always hid just away form his vision. The human was lured into a corner, and quickly turned around again right infront of the “NO TRESSPASSING” door. Papyrus leaped behind the human as stealthy as a boney cat, and spoke:
“HUMAN,” He started his heroic speech when he realized his glasses were about to fall off. He had already started, and he timed it perfectly already and there was no such thing as redos. The Great Papyrus would and could not deal with failure, and needed it to be 101% right.
“TURN AROUND…” He went to grope on the floor for his glasses. He couldn’t not time this speech incorrectly, so he told the human what was happening.
“WAIT! HOLD ON! I NEED TO CONFIRM IF YOU ARE A HUMAN!” Papyrus found his glasses and shoved them onto his face as fast as skeletonly possible.
“HANG ON, I ALMOST HAVE IT…” Papyrus adjusted his glasses so they would fit perfectly on his nose.
“THERE!” The glasses were perfect now, and he could continue.
“HUMAN!” He wirled around dramatically, to see the human already looking at him. He looked down in doom, and was absolutly confounded that the human could foil his plan.
“OH NO! YOU WERE LOOKING ALL ALONG?! MY PLAN HAS BEEN FOILED!” He gasped dramatically, as the human looked at him plainly with no expression. Oh. That was because they had a gas mask on.
Maybe that’s why people didn’t tend to come to Magmount. Because it was dangerous. He’d have to work on a experiment for that, however. Papyrus reminded himself to keep that in mind for his next report.
“IT DOESN’T MATTER I’LL IMPROVISE!” Papyrus said in a positive mood as the human responded. He heard the human say something under their breath, but he was already pushing them into the NO TRESPASSING area, where Sans’ station was set up. “SO LETS BE HASTY!”
“WAIT!!!” Papyrus heard the human yell, but didn’t stop. He continued pushing the human through the paths of Magmount, and stopped right infront of where Sans was sleeping.
“SANS!” Papyrus yelled at his brother. His brother then opened his eyes and looked at the human, and closed them again.
“Hey” Sans talked to the human.
“SANS IVE CAPTURED A HUMAN,” Papyrus exclaimed enthusiastically.
“Ok.”
“SANS IT’S INFRONT OF YOU.”
“Ok.” He stood up and walked to the human, and stood next to Papyrus. Papyrus then realized that he forgot to sign the beautiful picture, and had to run back to the house before the human left. He stealthily took off as if he was the opposite of a snail (Papyrus thought this would be the fastest thing ever, and that nothing could be faster than that. Little than he knew, there was a thing called the ‘Cheetah’). He ran to the house, slammed open the door, grabbed a pen, wrote a insanly messy signature down, and ran back just in time to see the human walking away from the station.
“HUMAN!” Papyrus ran and caught up to the human. “I REALIZED TAHT AS MY NEW FRIEND WE WON’T BE ABLE TO TALK OFTEN, BUT FEAR NOT, I FOUND A SOLUTION!” He handed the picture to the human, just like all of the times he practiced infront of the mirror. The human studied it for a second and then looked up at him. “SO IF YOU FEEL LONELY YOU CAN LOOK AT THIS AND BE REMINDED OF MY COOLNESS.” Papyrus gave the human the most happy smile that he could muster.
“DONT LOOSE THAT PICTURE! AND SEE YOU LATER HUMAN AND YOUR SPOOKY FRIEND!” Papyrus took off like the opposite of a slug, clearly, and ran as fast as possible to where Sans was waiting.
He didn’t know that the human through the picture into the lava. And he never would know. Thank goodness.
Or we hope =)

Normal Days
It was a normal day. A regular day. The type of day where you’d get up, and continue the normal routine like an endless carousel of decisions. Fishtail woke me up from my slumber, my eyes blinking in it’s normal tired mood. I then stood up, and woke up our lovely daughter, Sarada, and proceeded to getting her ready for Kindergarten. I always reminisced about how small she was a couple years ago, and how much she’s been growing up lately; She’s taken quite a fancy in letters, and always tried to draw them out as neatly as she can. She’s just like her mother (or…  at least her human form) and has my eyes, deep and dark blue. She has her mother's attitude but (regretfully) my short height, and always stands as supposedly as Fishtail calls is “my posture”.
After exiting the house, I teleported her to the closest patch of trees before the bus stop, and watched her laugh and play with her friends from school. Then, from around the corner, the buses came, and her and her friends cheered for the incoming bus. Sarada was the first to go on the bus, and her friends followed her one after another. She’s very much like Fishtail in that way: she always tends to be a leader of some sort somewhere.
Then I teleported back to the house. Fishtail was waiting for me, and we teleported over to the capital. There, she commanded each of the people to do their duties and destroy the evil darkness anthros, ect. They then left quickly, and Fishtail waited for Undyne, Asriel, and my brother Christopher to teleport over. She always checked her watch continuously at the time, and sighed in annoyance when the two monsters were late. She then retorted to their puny excuses, and we went on our way to the first crime in the city.
In the city, there were two big streets filled with vendors and businesses of various sizes. The whole street was crowded, but there was still two noticeable black hooded anthros in the room. Fishtail ordered us to walk in the crowd, not showing our faces, and to arrest them. Undyne, Asriel and Chris had already left, when we got the call.
Fishtail’s watch blinked in protest. Fishtail sighed, and then opened the notification about the next crime.
The crime was near Sarada’s school. Actually, it was insanely close. Fishtail’s eyes narrowed in fear for her daughter's safety, and I looked at it in surprize.
“How? I thought we concealed her identity well enough…” Fishtail exclaimed.
“Well, you know their government…” I looked from the watch to her. “They’re very prone to losing information.”
“This was classified,” Fishtail stood up and walked away from the edge of the building. “We should go check this out, right now. Is there anyway to get those three back up here?” Fishtail sighed and looked at their figures in the streets.
“No,” I sighed. “I guess we’ll have to go ourselves.” Fishtail looked warily at me as a reply, and then took my hand as we teleported.
We were right. The school was in chaos. People were screaming inside, which instantly made Fishtail’s fur go on end. My breathing catches in my throat, as I noticed Fishtail bolt inside. I quickly followed her, and slide into the room. There was only one anthro standing there, and kids were fleeing throughout the building, the teachers stepping up to attack this monster. They failed however, and either they were punched, or shot in a non lethal spot. Fishtail quickly growled at the anthro to make sure he knew that she was there, and he smiled and grinned at her.
“Hello Fishtail. Long time no see, you know?” The anthro grinned.
“You’re gonna DIE,” Fishtail raged like I’ve never seen her rage before. I tensed in a slight fear at the fact that Fishtail recognized the anthro, but also in the fact that I’ve heard of him as well.
This anthro was named Black, and no, I’m not being racist, that’s his name. He has a large scrape across his eye, and he’s known as the “leader of the darkness anthros”, even though they don’t have one real leader. He’s known as a killer, and he’s killed 13 different children, one of them including Fishtail. No wonder Fishtail was so mad; it would make sense that she would be mad that her killer would threaten her daughter.
“Don’t you think that’s a little harsh? Think of all that I’ve gotten you. You probably wouldn’t have met that human if it wasn’t for me…” Black motioned to me. I narrowed my eyes at the anthro, and steadied my metal arm if I needed to attack.
“You threatened my daughter. That’s the LAST STRAW, Black. YOU CROSSED THE LINE!” Fishtail yelled at the anthro, and launched herself at him, swinging her long sword. Fishtail quickly sliced through the anthros skin, but it didn’t touch anything else. Fishtail then dodged some of the anthros’ knives, as I tried to keep the children back.
I felt a child hug my leg. I looked down in surprize, and it was Sarada, scared.
“You have to stay back, Sarada,” I said gently to my daughter. “That’s a bad anthro.”
“I will, Daddy,” Sarada squeaked in fear, and ran back into the crowed. I heard a cry of fear as the darkness anthro swung his sword very close to the crowd, and the people dodged the sword quickly but efficiently. I glanced back to the battle, and was going to shoot another chakra ball at Black, but then my orders glimpsed in my mind.
“Stay back and don’t attack if not needed,” Fishtail told me when I entered the police force. “I’ll deal with the anthro at hand.”
I did what Fishtail said, and made sure the area around where the two were fighting was cleared. Fishtail, when she fought, fought like she was dancing, her movements moving fluidly while the other anthro was choppy but lethal. I snorted at the stupidity of the other anthro to fight Fishtail, because she was invincible and could not die. I, myself, have felt the wrath of the female anthro’s attacks, and I barely survived, not to mention that I, myself, am pretty darn powerful.
I was going to wait patiently for Fishtail to finish fighting, but I noticed something bizarre behind her. There was a dark shadow looming behind her, faint because my eye was covered, but still noticeable. I snarled in annoyance, and started to charge my arm-gun. I went to pull the trigger, but something happened.
The darkness anthro teleported right where the shadow was, poised to strike Fishtail from behind, right in her blind spot. I quickly pulled the trigger, but I wasn’t fast enough. Fishtail gasped as the sharp swords in the anthro’s hand plunged into her body, and hit all of her weak spots. Black withdrew his swords, as Fishtail fell to the ground, almost lifeless.
NO! I screamed in my head, even though I knew Fishtail would be fine. I walked forward into the circle that I created, and quickly removed the metal arm from my actual arm. My arm and my body quickly formed into my own darkness form, as I gritted my teeth with the annoyance of actually using this form when Fishtail was knocked out.
“HOW DARE YOU,” I yelled at Black. Black chuckled quietly under his breath, and grabbed the swords he stabbed Fishtail with and swung them around; I quickly dodged them, and grabbed his face with my ‘gun arm’ and shot him with a powerful ball of darkness magic. Black wasn’t fazed by it at all, and went to grab my head back but I quickly dodged his attack as if it was nothing. I saw Sarada at the corner of my eye, terrified, and I grumbled in annoyance and slammed Black with the blunt side of my knife. Black flew to the wall, almost going straight through it, as I felt a dark feeling go down my back. I noticed the same thing that injured Fishtail forming behind me, and I quickly pointed a gun at where its head would be and fired.
But the shot went right through it. Dammit, I thought as I realized that it was still in its shadow form, as it flew dangerously close to the children. I gasped as it drove one of the knives in my forehead, and the only thing stopping it was my hard metal endoskeleton. Luckily, the endoskeleton was hard enough to stop the knife from hurting any organs, but I still felt blood crawl down my face and well up near my mouth. I growled as I tried to shoot from under him with my gun arm, but it wouldn’t turn on.
DAMMIT, I thought as I realized that I was out of bullets entirely. I tried to duck away from the knife, continuing the wound trailing up my head, but that didn’t work.
Suddenly, there was a flash of light, and the rest of the team teleported over, with a few government officials. Favet quickly punched Black, making my immobile state leave, and I quickly stumbled backward. I felt slightly lightheaded, and quickly cursed my lack of blood in my body. I clasped a hand over the wound, and healed whatever I could with the chakra I had left, stumbled slightly, and noticed as a familiar anthro picked me up.
“We can’t have you stumbling around, right?” Chris wondered, slightly unnerved by the scene at hand. I glanced over at Favet, and it seemed that they were dealing with the situation much better than Fishtail and I were. My eyes glossed over, tired and scared at the same time, as I glanced over to where Fishtail laid. Anthros upon Anthros were piled around her, all talking in frantic voices. One of them picked Fishtail up, and teleported her back to Nowhere.
“You need to get Sarada, Chris…” I told to Chris, groggily.
“I have to get you to a hospital first,” Chris grimaced. “I’ll get Undyne to do that though, bro,” Chris said as he called Undyne over. The gay fish jumped up to Chris, who seemed like adrenaline was rushing through her body at full force with the need to fight.
“What!” Undyne smiled at Chris.
“Could you get Sarada?” Chris wondered. “I have to get my bro to a hospital.
“SURE!” Undyne said, smiling in a clear annoyance, not wanting to “babysit” any children. Undyne walked through the screaming children, and Chris teleported.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had been 2 weeks and Fishtail hadn’t woken up.
Sarada had been begging me to see her mother. I refused, however, because it would scar her even more. As if she wasn’t scarred during the attack, that is. She still had frequent nightmares, which was ironic because my family has a frequent history of bad things and nightmares. Kind of like a curse, but not noticeable.
I kept visiting the hospital everyday, and I finally resolved to let Sarada see her mother. I figured that Fishtail would be just fine, as usual, Sarada was oh so happy to go see her loving mother, in which she didn’t know was hurt. I tried to explain to her that ‘mom won’t be as energetic as usual’ and warned her about her semi-immobile state, but she still kept positive.
That was what Fishtail would do. She’s so darn like her mother.
We entered the hospital and was immediately directed to the room where Fishtail was located. We walked into the room, and we were both surprised to see her eyes open. I ran over to her side, and Sarada followed suit.
“Is that you… Afton?” She said softly. “I can’t really see.” When she said that, I froze in fear, but made sure to calm myself because Fishtail would sense my fear.
“You can’t… see?” I asked Fishtail. Fishtail smiled a response, not clearly answering the question but tapping it out on my arm.
“Y/E/S” Fishtail tapped out on my arm with morse code. She held my hand, and then glanced down at Sarada.
“Hey, pumpkin,” Fishtail said the common nickname that she called Sarada.
“MOMMY!” Sarada hugged Fishtail. Fishtail smiled in a response, and then yawned.
“Boy, I’m tired,” Fishtail’s blank eyes were droopy. I squeezed her hand, and looked down at Sarada, clearly wanting to talk to her alone.
“Oh! Hey Sarada, I’m pretty sure Chris came to see Mom too!” I said excitedly to Sarada.
“YAY!” Sarada exclaimed, and then jumped up and down, excited, and ran out the door.
“Really?” Fishtail asked.
“Nope. Just had to get her out of the room,” I sighed and looked over to the door where she left. Fishtail sighed in annoyance and then looked up at me again.
“Are you going to alright?” Fishtail asked me. I frowned and looked at her, confused.
“What?” I wondered.
“Without me?” Fishtail wondered, frowning. I widened my eyes at Fishtail, whose eyes were tearing up.
“WHAT WHOA WHOA SLOW DOWN GURL WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!” I said hurriedly. Fishtail sighed and looked at me.
“There’s no way that I can survive this, Afton,” Fishtail said, all out crying.
“NO NO WAY GURL YOU ARE NOT DYING ON ME,” I said, partially choked up, and in shock. Fishtail paused and gazed at me, distanted.
“Come here,” Fishtail told me. I did as she said, and was instantly surprised when Fishtail pressed her lips on my lips.
The kiss was long, but when I heard Sarada running down the hallway, we had to pull apart. I looked at her again, and noticed she was back asleep again, almost like she was never awake at all.
We’ll just have to wait.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s been around a month. I’ve been preparing myself to cope with Fishtail’s supposed death, but it wasn’t helping. Death was looming around every corner for me, and I felt scared and vandalized. I couldn’t take care of a child. I only had Chris left family-wise, and Fishtail was the one keeping our family together. If it wasn’t for Fishtail, Chris would have hated me.
I sat on our bed, or I guess now my bed because she’s in the hospital. I always got up every morning and went to the hospital, my throat in my chest because it could happen at any moment.
But today as I went up to the room, I quickly noticed she wasn’t in her bed. Infact, she was standing near the window. I gazed at her, stunned, and walked up to her.
“‘Today I realized that the stars that people crave to see for hundreds of years are nothing more than dead flames,’” Fishtail echoed, not even noticing me.
“What?” I asked, startled. Fishtail seemed to be entranced by the outside world, and I was even more concerned as I noticed some of her body fading.
“WHAT'S THAT?!” I gasped, and accidently fell over in the fright. I looked up at Fishtail, and she started disappearing into stars. I looked at her, wondrously, but terrified, as she slowly disappeared.
“FISHTAIL!” I yelled, and tried to catch the last star. But I failed.
Fishtail was gone. I looked down and around the landscape, but I couldn’t find the anthro anywhere.
Could she be dead? The thought hit me like a brick. I shuddered and gasped in realization, and slid down the wall until I was sitting on the ground. I stared at the surroundings in shock, as it blurred slightly. I could only feel myself and my heart beating, and only one thing else.
Right by my head was one of the few “Help” strings, that if you pull it it sounds an alarm. I sat there for a moment, letting it all sink it, and slowly reached towards the string.
I could hear the alarms blaring. I could hear people coming into the room. But it was all muffled, as if I was underwater. I sat there, blank as hell, and watched as people came in and asked me questions. I couldn’t hear them.
Suddenly one question came through the barrier.
“Are you okay?” It asked.
Are you okay
Memories of Fishtail came flooding through my mind like a storm. I could remember every time she asked me that question. She always remembered to hug me afterwards, and I thought I could feel her warmth. But instead, it was cold. It was always cold.
The memories shut everyone else out. I couldn’t hear. I couldn’t think.
Fishtail’s dead.
After a half hour of them pestering me, I could hear better. I croaked out two words:
“Fishtail’s dead”
And let the anthros carry me to one of the hospital beds.

My life is basically the legend of Electra, except I'm a peasant, which is disgusting.
My life is basically the legend of Electra, except I’m a peasant, which is disgusting. And what’s worse than having a life vaguely known like Electra? I don’t know. Especially when the revenge comes in- that’s the worse part.
The legend of Electra is a Greek myth in which the daughter of King Agamemnon (and, also known as the Princess of Argos) plots with her brother named Orestes to murder her father. Luckily, my name isn’t Electra cause then people would fear for my father's life even more then they would now.
The thing is, my father is Zues. I’m a demigod *which is a fancy way to say I’m a big ish deal*. I’m the only demigod in my town. People like me, yet hate me, and a whole lot of people are jealous of me… I’m like your modern day Donald Trump. But since we all know what happened to that guy, 200 years in the future, I’d say I’m a little bit better.
Oh, my name is Felix. I’m one of those nerdy guys who might once in awhile wield lightning bolts to kick other people out of our town and far away. And I only kick out people who are bad to the community. You should be fine. You seem nice.
Anywho my story started when I was a little one in the small town of Sterling, which was just outside of Chicago. When I was born supposedly a whole lot of people flocked to our town so now it's a pretty big place. And it’s really confusing, since they keep adding more and more things you lose track of where you are most of the time. Maybe that's because of the Nexus Energy that flows around this place just because of me.
Boy, just thinking about all of the things that’s changed since I was born really makes me feel special. BTW, did I tell you that I am? I seemed to forget since I’m tending my crops so carefully.
Anyways, then I got a fancy little scroll from the god of wine. Now you may think, ‘Why, Felix, would you be contacted by the god of wine?! You don't drink that much wine, do you?? *_*’” And I’ll say, “No, he contacted me, and I’m under 21 don’t you know the drinking policy, dude?” And I’ll win the argument. Cause that’s what happens. But, I got the scroll and it said “I’ll give you a whole lot of cash if you kill Zues,” and then I said yes cause that’s just what happened.
So then I tried to kill my father and then WOOPs I seemed to forget that he’s the king of the gods and almost equal in popularity than me. So he was like “DUDE WHY?” and then I was like “DUDE WHAT?” and then he kicked my butt back down here and forced me to become a peasant and give up my beautiful lightning-wielding powers. That was a sad day. I still miss them though.
By “them” I mean my lightning-wielding powers, you idiot. Not my father. He’ll just be there and never talk to me at all, and by our town standards, we all say that Zues sucks at being a father.
So, yup! I’m here. Tending my crops. Doing the same thing every day. It’s incredibly boring. Zues should actually come down here and notice that there's a thing called technology which is kind of better than tending crops 24/7. I would rather play the same video game forever than tending stupid crops. THAT WOULD BE A BETTER IDEA, ZUES. YOU HEAR ME?!
Oh right. He’s too busy being “awesome” to listen to my whining.
Well. There’s nothing left to see here. Except me. Do you want a autograph? Of course not. Bye.

People Called Her Kyle
People called her Kyle.
It was abnormal for a girl like her to have the name of “Kyle”. She’s a spunky girl who trusts her instincts in every situation, and usually gets off okay. She’s not a sporty girl or not even that much popular, but somehow everyone knows her. Kyle’s really well known. I wish I was like that.
Kyle always walks throughout the school with a spring in her step, and she makes sure to have a lot of friends. But by friends, I mean not the people others would hang out with. She hangs out with the special Ed. kids, and I wish I could be brave like that. She’s a nice, do-gooder, who says hi to everyone, and by everyone I mean everyone.
But, with that being said, she’s still a innocent cinnamon roll. She knows nothing of the dangers of the world, and she still hangs out with those people who most people would stay away from because of what they’re known for. I think everyone is scared for her safety. At least I am. I don’t know about the other kids.
Well, she’s a very adventurous person. And I feel that a very adventurous and brave person like her would be a good candidate for the job. She would also love doing the job, and make the others work better. I know, cause I know her the best.
Sincerely,
Your best friend

The Broken City
I never knew that such a beautiful city could ever break down like it did that day. The monumental day. The Broken Day.
It was a nice beautiful day in July, in Ohio. Just any normal day, in which the sun was shining and the sky was beautiful, just like it was every day before, where the birds sung harmoniously with the soft wind.  Now there’s no birds singing, and the building are crumbled and could be considered “dead”, but the sky is as beautiful as before. Of course; nothing can break the sky.
I was living in a town just outside of the red zone, just outside the place where U.S military surround so no one gets the virus that struck after the Broken Day. It was horrible. You could hear innocent human beings crying and screams as people tried to break open the barrier made by their own friends. But, at least it protects us from their horrible virus. So the rest of humanity could survive.
The Broken Day started when the ground started to rumble. But, of course, that’s a daily occurence of people who lived in the red zone. There were small blips of tremors under everyone's feet. That only got some small attention of some seismologists that worked with the subject, and some of those super nerdy teenagers that came there for a trip from a school called “Baxter Academy.”
They live in the Green zone. Lucky them, right?
Then, at 3:30 in the afternoon of July 30th, 2100, the earthquake started. A 8 scale earthquake shook the ground of the once big city of Columbus, and knocked everything- including people- to the ground. The buildings started to fall dramatically as if they were wispy dandelions, smushing little small humans the size of bugs in their paths. Barely anyone survived. The nearby towns got hit as well, and only some people survived~ the people who are pushing the border now are from that area.
After the earthquake stuck, for some reason why, a new virus called the “Powassan” virus, broke out, spread by ticks. The US took safely precautions and enclosed the area from transportation in and out, and who knows what’s happening in there. They don’t have any connection to the outside world, and the people in there must be running out of food or something like that. Believe me, its far worse than Donald Trumps’ plan to build the wall between Mexico and the US. That’s why people like me are helping out.
We started sending people to break through the walls on the outside, and some people got in. They got some food to the people, and came out seriously infected, and shot by the US troops. We are going to send in 3 more people with more complex supplies, and hopefully they’ll come out alive.
We can only hope.

The Little Hunter
I woke up, my eyes looking up into the blue sky. My brown, wood like clothing blend into the brown woods that I woke up in. The green of the leaves overhead fluttered as if they were butterflies, and it seemed like they could fly down and pick me up any moment.
I stood up. I looked around, and I couldn't remember anything. The forest stretched infinitely, filled with huge flowers with petals spread out to grab anything around it. I started walking down the path that I woke up on, and stopped at a sharp cliff with boulders, with a river running at the bottom of it. I gaped at the amazing view, and noticed there was a black figure flying in the air, and right at me.
Alarmed, I ran down some small stairs that circled down the cliff. As I ran down, a small group of people ran back up, all armed with arrows and swords in their hands. They brushed past me, and almost knocked me off of the cliff. It's a dragon!! I thought in awe as the black giant lizard flew down on the cliff. It's long, black tail knocked the people who were up there off their feet, and instantly started gobbling them up as if they were chocolate.
A small boy ran next to me as I ran down, and pushed me off the cliff. I screamed, and grabbed a rock at the side of the cliff. The boy yelled in surprise, and reached down to bring me back to my feet. He lifted me up easily, even though I was  twice the size of him, and set me down.
"What are you doing without a weapon?!" He yelled at me as if I broke the law.
"What?! Where am I?! I don't remember anything!" I yelled at him as chaos broke out. He grabbed his bow and arrow from his belt, and gave it to me forcefully, and ran away.
"What?!" I yelled at him. "I don't understand! What should I do-" I choked out the last words, confused and sobbing. I then stopped, and watched the idiotic people run at the dragon as he finished them off like dinner. I ran up, knocked my arrow, and shot the dragon right between the eyes.
The dragon roared as it went deeply into its head. It stumbled, and narrowed its eyes on me. I yelled as the dragon ran at me, trampling everyone, including the boy, in his path. I yelled, and ran down the hill. It gained speed on me, while making the stairs crumble. It reached out towards me, probably wanting to eat me, as the boy who I saw trampled came up to the dragon, and speared it in the chest just as it clamped around my waist.
My sight grew blurrier, as I was dropped by the dragon's grip. I brought my hand up to my face and noticed the blood running down my arms, pooling at my chest. I couldn't move, as if I was broken. The boy ran up to me.
"Are you okay?!" he gaped at me. I blinked as if he couldn't see the blood pouring from my wounds. He knelt by me, sad and sorrowful.
"I'm still confused," I croaked. I blinked, tears running down my cheeks to the ground.
"Well, I know you’re a great little hunter," the boy smiled as my vision blurred and all went dark.

You should have died. This was the fourth time in your life that you should’ve died. Every time, just before it happens a scythe-wielding figure in a black cloak saves you, always whispering “Not today…”
