Twilight's Habit of Observing Yor and Anya

I just noticed how often Twilight observes these two interacting with each other, the anime is inclined of highlighting this since most of these are not in the manga and I love them for that.

Look at how fond his face is when he's looking at Yor and Anya's genuine affection for each other. I think he can saw glimpses of him and his mom through them.

Yor and Anya share a true mother-daughter bond, even though they don't share the same blood. In his world as a spy, where deception and pretenses rule, Yor and Anya's genuine bond is a breath of fresh air for him. It was something that is very much real and it's something that is under his care regardless he is Twilight, Loid Forger or his true self. He was the one who united their family and I think it makes him wonder how an epitome of deception like himself can build something as authentic and genuine as this.

That face he makes, the longing warm stare directed at them. I can't explain it but his eyes are really different when he's looking at them. It's soft. Yep, this man is already into deep.

Also, it makes me wonder, judging at how often he observes these two, how could he not tell something was definitely weird about them? At this rate he must've been constantly and intentionally ignoring those😂

Okay now that the clickbait is out of the way, here's a hopefully short rant about Spy x Family's characters and emotional writing.

Mild spoilers for chapter 120, beware

I really love how Endo does things with this series, everyone has their set motivations, thoughts, and core beliefs which determine how they respond to the outside world. Every bit of information which is portrayed about a character seems like it has an importance to the story (at least that's what my brainrotted mind tells me)

[Redacted] is said to have been an emotional and sensitive "crybaby" as a child, and we can see that this mannerism persists to his young adult days (in chapter 62.3, where he cries next to his childhood friends in an emotional catharsis when he finds out they survived). Ever since he has joined the intelligence branch, it can be said that he has abandoned all that is related to himself as in emotions and identity. I don't think we've had any show of emotional expression coming from him, other than the havoc the unprocessed emotions wreak on him.

By chapter 120, I believe the "slippage" we see on his Twilight personna is caused by all the pent up trauma, stress and hurt resurfacing due to his new life showing him scenes reminiscent of his past (like having "family members to rely on" despite believing them to be completely fake, or more literally Yor's lullaby matching that of his mother). I feel like now is time more than ever for this man to take care of his emotional well being, as the dissociative barrier he holds against his emotions is faltering.

We all need to cry at times, and I believe Twilight crying would be an indication that he is making ammends with [redacted] and becoming more authentic to himself. I really like the characters here and I want the best for them eeee

Yo so I have NOT used this app like ever, but Spy x Family brainrot is consuming me and I don't want to annoy my friends who don't read the manga always gushing about it.

Anyone wanna become friends over silly wholesome romcom manga? I believe such arrangement would prove benefitial for both parties [I am definitely not kinning, I am definitely not being cringe]

Some more info about me is that I'm a soon to be 4th year molecular biology and genetics student, so other areas of my socialisation may and probably will include science nerdness. And I'm trying to verrry slowly work on a fan chapter (because I genuinely thought the hiatus would have been longer AAAAAAAAA the manga came back earlier than I expected I'm so happyyy)
