So since returning from my small hiatus, I’ve noticed the level of activity within the group has died. Just want to check in and make sure everyone is still interested in this group, and ask that if you are, please like this post, otherwise you will be put on an unfollow list.

How do you feel about original characters?

While I’m not opposed to letting in a couple of them, I would like to discuss them with the players in the group. Sometimes people don’t like to interact with original characters and sometimes they love to. So we’ll discuss this question with the players and then make a post later on letting people know the outcome.

Attention players, It’s time for our First dash event!

This Friday, The Junior Varsity house are hosting the first party of the year!  Following the JV’s performances in the Auditorium - the party will be starting at the JV house at 10pm, but don’t feel the need to show up on time, as it will most likely go all night. 

From 8pm EST time tonight, Friday 5/18, to Sunday 5/20 at 11:59pm EST, the dash will be active for the event. This means all dash posts posted during this time will be taking place at the party Friday night, and should be tagged with #flevent and #flstarter so our members can easily reply to your starter!

Once Monday hits, the dash will return to normal and any new posts made will be set in real time in the game. (for example, if you make a post at 8am on Monday, it will be posted at 8am Monday in the game) During the party, members are more then encouraged to post social media posts regarding what their characters are getting up to, playlists for the night, and any graphics they choose to make for the party. Closed starters and self paras are also encouraged, so get out there and plot!

We often get asked if you’re allowed to reply to posts that might have been made prior to the event starting, and the answer is yes, we just encourage having a separate tagging system for the party to make those interactions easier to organize.

Would you be open to changing Bree’s FC?

Yeah, we know Erinn doesn’t have many resources so we’d be open to that. Go ahead just put in the app who you’d like the fc to be changed to, just as long as you keep her ethnicity the same.

Just wanted to give some recognition to @flashlight-rpg for all of the flawless character portrayals with a special mention to Santana (@queensnix). Capturing a canon characters essence with a different FC isn’t easy but Ellie pulls it off perfectly. Can’t wait to see where the the group goes.

May I ask why Naya Rivera is banned when all charges against her were cleared and proven false?

Because I was not aware of that and from my knowledge people were still not using her as a fc, and I wanted to follow as to not step on any toes or make people uncomfortable.

I don’t keep up with Naya or her personal life, just what I hear through the grpc grapevine, and last I saw games were still banning her fc. Which is why we did as well.

So to celebrate our first week open we’ve decided to come up with a task for our lovely players. Since the Junior Varsity show choir is the only non competing, meaning anyone who wants to join can join, we feel it’s necessary for each member to come up with a performance that showcases their skills to their fellow members. That means this Friday from 8-9pm, members of the JV team should arrive at the auditorium with sheet music in hand and a performance ready to go. 

As this is intended for member of the JV team to showcase their talent, all members of The New Directions, The Troubletones and The Duly Noted are invited to attend and scout out potential future members. And like always, after the performance, all students are invited back to the JV house to mingle. Party. We mean party.

So guys, in order to partake in the task is simple. You can either post a audio link, video or write a self para of your character performing their chosen song. Hell, you could do all three. Once you complete the task, please tag it with #FLTASK 001.

As for members of the competitive teams, in two weeks you’ll be expected to put on your first group performance in front of all the teams, so we suggest you all start brainstorming what your song choices will be, who is your soloist, and what your choreography will look like!

Last but not least, we will have a fun little dash event this weekend to kick off the start of the group. The Junior Varsity will have their house open to all members of show choir and the drinks will be free.
