hEy gimme a plot where there’s a single dad who lives alone with his kid in a cheap apartment and he’s reserved and keeps to himself and is pretty shy and there’s a girl who moves into the apartment across from his and they each have their windows open all the time and she just gets amused watching him interact with his kid and she’s so amazed by it and they communicate through their windows a lot, looking up every so often and waving or chuckling and making little faces at each other, but never actually talk until there’s a false fire alarm at three in the morning and they’re standing out in the cold and she offers his kid her jacket because they at the time thought there was a real fire and he was too worried about getting the two of them outside to think about jackets and it just kind of takes off from theRE !!

"dude, they said no." bear spoke, frowning as he turned around to the pair that said at the end of the bar. for the past two hours he had been keeping an eye on the two- especially because one of the two had gotten particularly touchy. he walked over, throwing his dishcloth over his shoulder. "you need any help?"

clubbing was not something tove really did- it was lame to her and she’d much rather stay indoors to do some baking, or maybe watch a netflix show. just going out partying wasn’t something she did in general. but, just because her roommates had kept begging her to go she decided to throw on a tiny black dress to head out to a house party they’d been invited to. tove didn’t know many people there, so she decided to just keep to herself for the most part. her back was pressed up against the wall, while smiling at most of the people that passed. this definitely wasn’t her environment. “after this drink i’m just gonna go!” she told her friend, then heading through the kitchen and out to the backyard, body suddenly hot and head slightly cloudy. tove was only two vodka sodas in, but it felt like she had about ten of them. “fuck.” the brunette muttered and slightly stumbled back, holding onto whatever she could grab. she took yet another sip, glancing down at her cup before downing the drink and searching for her phone to get an uber.

for some reason, and he didn't know yet for what exact reason, he believed the other when he said he would be fine. james flashed him a smile, shrugging gently. "i hope so." he took a breath, following koa up the stairs into his apartment. even though he had said the apartment wasn't great, it was better than james had known in the past couple years, so this was a step up from couch surfing. he looked at koa, and gently reached out to squeeze his shoulder once. "thanks, man." he nodded slowly. "seriously. you're... you're helping me more than you know. i'll repay you, i promise." he nodded timidly. "in food, though, probably but."

he's ready to interject, to tell james how interesting his job sounds, how he'll find a new one — though koa forces himself to be quiet just long enough to let the other male talk, features softening as he nudges him gently with the side of his arm. “ for what it's worth, i think that's really cool. ” he points out with a gentle smile. “ and besides, you're gonna be fine. ” a confident nod follows the words, gaze darting gently over the other male before he's searching his pockets for his keys. “ because you're already not at rock bottom anymore, you've got me, and a place to stay, and a cupboard of questionable ingredients that only a talented chef will ever be able to make something from, so — good luck. ” he jokes, though there's a sincerity to the tone that can't help but seep in when he's never been able to turn down the change to help someone who seems a little lost.

"surprise?" he had just gotten off a long flight and drove straight home. all he wanted to do was surprise his partner. they hadn't seen each other for over three months, so a reunion was long overdue. julian walked into the living room, bags dropping down to the floor.

"experiment?" bobbi stared at lucy, her head shaking slowly. "i can't believe that you would... think that. fuck, luce, i would never. i just-" she was nailed where she stood, bottom lip trembling. "i guess i just.. i don't know. my family isn't.. the best. i think my friends would love you. i just- don't know."

it made lucy feel like some sort of villain, staring at her as she cried. she wondered if she was heartless, despite her heart feeling hurt that she had to hide herself away. "you can't just expect me to wait around and be a secret," she breathed out. "i'm glad you're figuring shit out but if i'm just an experiment..."

"well," he cleared his throat, slowly shaking his head. "i envy you. i wish i was good at it. i've been doing this job for a very long time and i definitely can't say i'm numb whatsoever." he slowly shook his head, sighing softly. "today was... i don't know. today was bad."
