Well, bugsnax aren't normal parasites, since their parasitic activities completely destroy the host.

While by definition, parasites are detrimental to or even kill their hosts, none consume the host so thoroughly.

Actually, most carnivorous predators don't even consume their prey so thoroughly.

Usually there's at least something left over.

Yes, parasite must be the correct terminology... but it can't be stressed enough how disturbingly much the bugsnax integrate and consume.
