the thing about getting a tattoo is it does mean a lot tbh to walk into a place & have everyone there immediately coming from a baseline assumption that you're a capable mature person and that you understand yourself and your own body better than anyone and have put however much amount of thought that you need to put into it before coming in, even though it's a permanent decision with your body, and that you would be able to handle any regrets or lack thereof because as above, you're a capable person who they trust to make decisions for themself. which is more than can be said for trying to be allowed make certain medical decisions
#I think it was hypokeimena on here that said tattoos can be gender affirming & like yeah.#in the sense and that you come out of it like oh I Am my own person who knows my own body & can do things to it if I want & feel good about#them.
