Youtube Blackout (important)

I’m basically just restating a couple of other posts so that hopefully more people will be aware.

Tomorrow, August 13th, Youtube rolls out a new policy that uses generative ai to guess whether a user is 18+ based on the maturity of the videos they watch. Anyone who watches ANYTHING related to cartoons, video games, kids media, etc, will be targetted.

If you continue to use their services once you have been warned, they will “request” your ID and other personal information from you. This is a major privacy violation. If you do not give your personal info, you will be banned.

Starting tomorrow, until the decision is reversed, there is going to be a blackout where (ideally) nobody uses Youtube to force their attention.

I want you all to participate, if possible. Download videos beforehand if you need something to watch during the blackout. Censorship will continue to get worse if we don’t retaliate.

Adult medias that feature gameplay and/or animation are just as susceptible. This affects everybody.

they're very upbeat and willing to help out in any way. they're made to make the human's life more convenient for them, and streamlining life. they're always asking the human if they want to digitize their appliances to make it easier for them to use.

alex is also able to play music and games, control lights, appliances, other devices, and even control your fans and HVAC! that's where alex's phone comes in; it's where they control all of those things

alex has to do something to help the human, or else they're useless. it's a huge fear of theirs. they hate being useless, and so takes on as many helpful things that they can to show that they are doing their job perfectly.

it's making them stressed out, and maybe they are losing sleep, but they have to be alert and ready for the human.

that's also why they wear rollerskates. it helps them get to other places easily, so that alex can always be there when the human needs them.

I’m sure someones already said this but I often see Tumblr described as a hellsite. This is fundamentally incorrect.

Tumblr is the faesite. Everybody is super confused and lost, you keep running into random places. Somehow you end up stuck there forever after interacting a couple of times. The people are all strange, everybody simultaneously seems to be from the future and the past as if time is meaningless.
