Grayan was definitely scared. Why wouldn’t he be? People like him weren’t very popular anyways. And now that the villains were in charge, he was prepared to be discriminated against even more. He walks to Circe and sighs. “I’m scared.”
Circe had no preference towards the rulers of Auradon, she only cared about the other children, VK or AK, that were forced to suffer through all this. “Most of us are,” she assured her friend, turning to him. “But we’ll be okay. We have each other.”

“I’m not going t drop him in the ocean and neither are you.” Elva rolled her eyes. She looked away when Circe mentioned eating, not eating was still a habit of hers. Circe probably wouldn’t be happy to know she barely ate once a day if that. She enjoyed the empty feeling of hunger, or the warm burn of her muscles. They were more familiar and safe feelings than the ones she’d been struggling with recently, give her good old fashioned physical pain any day. “Yeah, I wouldn’t mind seeing that,” She said to the other suggestion. “What do you mean by play?”
Circe shrugged. “If he happens to fall in I had nothing to do with it.” It was likely she would mess with the Hook boy simply for the fact he was a pirate anyways. “I mean play! There’s one place in the forest that had a bunch of trees good for fort building.” Meaning Circe and other lost kids had taken upon themselves to recreate their tree home from Neverland in Auradon’s forest. She wouldn’t take Elva there yet but she would take her close to where they all played nearly everyday. “Fly or walk?” She asked, offering her hand.

“Yeah. We’re sort of friends now. I think he wanted to break my heart since I was just another princess and I was thinking I could be normal for once.” She shrugged. “And now mostly I buy him stuff because I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have anything. Well…anything he didn’t steal.” She turned back to the topic at hand “Well we could go on a date. What do you like to do?”
“That’s stupid on his part. You should drop him in the ocean.” Circe was tempted to do it herself even if Elva had already made peace with it. Instead, she shook her head, deciding not to question it. “Eat ! Or I could show you where the lost kids play here in Auradon?” She was up for whatever really as long as she could spend time with Elva. She really had missed her after it became clear the other was avoiding her.

“Good luck.” Elva teased. Her worrying had been a problem for a very long time and didn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. “Well my only experience is with Harry and I don’t think any of that was close to real. Although I think now I’m his sponsor.”
“Oh, Hook Jr !” She chuckled, hating the man himself but she could never hate another child, even if he was the son of Hook. “Sponsor? Wait --- no, us dating. I’d rather talk about that but... I guess we go on dates?”

“Don’t joke I think I’ll worry enough for ten of us.” She smiled a little more, finally feeling a little more at ease now that the worst of the conversation was over. She was still terrified, but now that the decision was made she might as well enjoy it. “So…what do people do when they’re dating…?”
“We’re definitely gonna work on that.” As a friend, she had noticed how frazzled Elva always seemed but as her girlfriend now, she wanted to help her at the source of the problem if she could. “How am I supposed to know? Dating wasn’t really a thing on Neverland.”

“Just magic? You make it sound like it’s nothing.” She said as she watched her. “I know i’m from the Isle but I did grew up here the past few years and I don’t think i’ve ever seen someone what you just did.”
“Magic’s not nothing,” she paused, looking the other over for a moment before shaking her head. “It’s not just the islanders. Apparently, magic is frowned upon or whatever, here.” To Circe, magic came as second nature so it was easier for her than most, but that didn’t mean she took it all for granted.

“You’re mad.” Elva shrank back. Of course she was mad. Elva was being weak and indecisive. Who wouldn’t be mad? “I’m sorry.” She closed her eyes. “I just wish I could know, that you’re going to be okay, that things would work out.” Not the relationship, if it was just plain old fashioned heartbreak Elva would risk it in a minute. She looked at Circe again, eyes wandering over her face. “Okay. Let’s try it but…let’s go slow.” She held her hand out, smiling despite her apprehension.
Circe shook her head. “Don’t be sorry, nothing’s guaranteed and that doesn’t usually bother me even if it should so... you can worry enough for both of us?” She tried to joke and lighten the mood. “Slow? Okay, yeah, I can do that.” A bright smile broke out across her face but she held back from pulling the other girl into a tight hug when she finally linked their fingers.

He smiles. “I love you Circe. You’re my favorite. Let’s research curses together.”
“Of course I am,” she teases before pulling him into a hug. “I love you too so let’s get our curse on !”

Elva looked away. Circe seemed quite confident but that made very little sense to her. She supposed that the other girl’s magic was probably formidable. She’d heard it mentioned before, but never seen it. “I don’t want to discount your feelings…not like I did with Salem.” Her best friend who loved her that she had abandoned. Now look at him. It was her fault. “I am afraid. I’ve…killed people before.” The last part was only a whisper. “Even if you could protect yourself you couldn’t let your guard down for a second. Is that the kind of relationship you want?”
Letting out a small sigh, Circe tried to calm her anger, remembering some calming techniques that Tink had taught her for whenever she had her own fits. She had more than one lifetime to find comfort within herself, Elva did not have that and Circe knew how she feared her own powers. The mention of death fell on a desensitized mind and she could not bring herself to feel the least bit frightened by the information. “I do want it if it’s with you but... only if that’s what you want. It’s frustrating but I can’t force you into this, I won’t do that. So... it’s your call.”

– & Life hadn’t exactly been seen through rose colored glasses before Peter came along, but Jackson had certainly experienced enough of it. Had the thought of growing up while in Auradon occured to him? Time and time again. It was oddly terrifying. He’d been nineteen for so many years now that any age over that, seemed like death knocking down his door. Would their bodies start to fail them quicker than normal given how long they’d been able to cheat times cruel hands? “Don’t think about it.” Jackson offers, which probably isn’t very helpful. “Hopefully we’ll be back to Neverland before the year is out, and nothing will have changed.”
Before Peter had found her, she was already wasting away. Life felt colorless before the wonders of Neverland were laid out before her and after awhile, she never imagined that she would have to or ever even want to leave it. She waited patiently for Jackson’s response, knowing it was a heavy question but she could only raise a brow when he finally gave her one. “You suck,” she said before her stare broke and she shook her head fondly, pushing him playfully. “We will go back. Peter will make sure.”

Elva could see it, her and Circe holding hands as they walked down the streets. Circe’s frankness cutting through Elva’s indecisiveness, her caution keeping Circe from jumping headlong into something dangerous. Circe meeting her mother, and becoming the new favorite (Elsa would absolutely love her). “No part of me wants this to be all in my head.” Elva admitted, it was too easy to be honest. She should have just said it was a joke. Knowing what she could have and still pushing it away was so much harder than thinking Circe just hated her. “No one can protect themselves against being frozen to death.” She said quietly. “My feelings don’t…” She let out a breath, trying to explain. “My feelings, what I want, that doesn’t matter, Circe. What matters is everyone else’s safety. Especially yours.”
Elva’s words only cut a deeper frown into her features, Circe would have rather the kiss never happened if she was going to be this way. “Then stop trying to convince me that this is impossible.” Far from it. She did not need someone to worry about her, she was wild and reckless, and she knew how to deal with the consequences she brought upon herself. “Then what about my feelings --- about what I want ?! I don’t just want to be your friend, Elva. You have no idea what I can do with my magic and you can’t predict what will happen. If you insist on being afraid of something that’s not a guarantee, you’re a coward and I don’t think that’s you.”

“How the in the ‘eff are you doing that?” She exclaimed before covering her mouth. Kiki was in awe at what she was seeing and at the same time she so tempted to take a video and post it onto her social media.
Elva stopped her twirling, falling closer to the ground until she was only hovering a couple inches in the air. “Just magic,” she answered simply, giving the girl a curious look. It had been a surprise when she came to Auradon and found so many people astonished by acts of magic she considered commonplace.

“They do though. They totally do and I have no clue how to stop it.”
“I know exactly how to stop it. If they touch you again I’ll put a curse on them. I bet Jackson will be happy to help come up with fun ones.”

“Everyone really. They make fun of me because of trans. I get beat up daily. I think i’m going to stop going to Auradon to be honest.”
“That’s not okay, Gray. They can’t do that to you nor should they do it to anyone.”

Elva smiled a bit sadly, “Self doubt is ninety percent of my personality,” Circe might think it was clear cut but it wasn’t. “I would never want anyone to turn their life upside down for me. I’m not worth any of that. It’s not do we like each other or not. I’m not a person who can just love and be loved, I’ll always worry about your safety around me. And if my feelings become too intense I could hurt you. I don’t want that, I don’t think you want it either.”
“Well, we can work on that and I mean it.” She knew little of Elva’s real struggles but she knew the abrasive journey of building up one’s own self esteem after it has been shredded down to almost nothing. “Then what was the point?” A frown settled onto her features. “You kissed me because some part of you didn’t want this to just be all in your head and if this is about your powers, I can protect myself. I don’t act it but... I’ve been alive a lot longer than you think.”
