Gal.actic’s Dohee to make solo debut in late June

Gal.actic recently made their return after nearly a year with their album Joker Is Alive, and now Dimensions Entertainment has announced the group’s leader, Dohee, will be making her solo debut shortly after the group wraps their promotions. This will make the main vocal the second member to pursue solo music after group mate Silver made her solo debut with a mini-album late last year. Dimensions Entertainment state that on June 25, Dohee will release her full-length solo album Mirage with double title tracks and fans can anticipate a pre-release single the week before.

Outside of group activities, Dohee is already a rising name in acting, having previously appeared in dramas like Entertainer, Missing 9, The Liar and His Lover, and My Secret Romance and has also appeared in several musicals since her debut as an idol in 2011. She’s also gained some notoriety for her history of contributions to drama OST, and recently released a song through Dimensions Portal titled “Don’t Be Shy” with Unity’s Max.

nabi chuckled and looked at the other with what could only be honey in her eyes. those that debuted after felt like her little sibling. with a special love towards girl groups, in her eyes they were all like her little sisters. so it wasn’t a shock (to her at least ) that she couldn’t wipe the smile off her face. “then we’ll have to make sure i don’t see you that way.”

dohee’s words were waved away by nabi as she signaled the waitress to come over. “don’t worry about it, it’s taken a long time but i should treat you to something.”

despite growing up as the youngest child in her house, dohee wasn’t used to truly being treated as a dongsaeng or a hoobae, being the leader and one of the older members of her group and now being one of the older female idols in the industry. she was older than nabi, but had debuted after, and it was a nice change not to be treated like she had to be the mature foil to someone else.
