Rain Barrel Brewing Label
Rain Barrel Brewing Company, 2011
Here's a new one you won't find on shelves, at least not yet. This is high end home-brewing at its best, both terms of the beer and the label. We'd like to think the fancy label makes the beer taste better, but that might just be wishful thinking.

Wyldes Logo set
2011
Here's something different. These marks are for the yet to published novel, The Wyldes of Portlandia. It's a supernatural western, in case you couldn't tell. There are cowboys and zombies and such. Fun stuff. Hmmm...does the fact that zombies like to gnaw on human flesh qualify this as food-related? Maybe not.

Sandwich Craft Recipe Pages
2008
These pages were designed a book that sadly never reached publication. Apparently, there's not a significant market for a book exclusively about making classic sandwiches from scratch. Right...and how many sandwiches do humans eat each year? 50 billion? Yes, I can see why no one would buy such a book.

Fish Cover Re-Design
St. Martin's Press, 2010
For the redesign of the cover for Fish on a First-Name Basis, we tried a "tabloid" approach, looking to mimic what you might see in a grocery store checkout aisle. Fun, but informative...and perhaps a little silly. Perhaps a lot.

Bludgeon Pumpkin Beer
Bludgeon Brewery, 2010
A tasty pumpkin pale ale label featuring two different pumpkins, one each carved by the founders. These labels were for 22 ounce bottles.

Bludgeon Beer
Bludgeon Brewery, 2011
Three 12 ounce beer labels for a red ale, porter, and an IPA for Bludgeon Brewery out of Half Moon Bay, California. Small brewery, big taste. And, yes, we did the logo, too.

Bludgeon Brewery Logo
Bludgeon Brewery, 2010
For the Bludgeon logo, we created a rough, abrassive text solution with just a little bit of whimsy. The crown is part king and part jester, perfect for a brewery started by a couple of joksters.

Forager Creative Identity System
Forager Creative, 2010
A little self promotion never hurts. The bird in our logo is a scrub jay, a delightful local bird that spends an inordinate amount of time hopping in search of delicious, all-natural bugs. Well, they think they’re tasty.

KewlBites Recipe Card Deck Box
KewlBites Inc., 2011
For the box we picked three of our favorite dishes (pancakes, a Greek wrap, and lasagna) and let them do the selling. Job done.

KewlBites Recipe Card Deck
KewlBites Inc., 2011
We worked closely with young chef Reed Alexander to create a series of cards that fit both his tastes and personality: fun, fresh, and full of tasty tidbits.

Joseph George label & cap icon
Joseph George Wines, 2010
Joseph George asked for a simple label, one that would be printed directly on the bottle. We actually designed the cap icon first and liked it enough to put it on the label. Clean, simple, classic.

CEA Identity System
CEA, New York, 2010
The Culinary Entertainment Agency came to us with a simple request: create a logo that speaks to their commitment to the talented chefs, authors, and other creative folks they represent. Done and done.

Boodapug Logo
Boodapug, 2009
Pug faces are tricky, as we discovered when tasked with creating a very simple icon for Boodapug, a pug-friendly apparel and more company in Portland. Tricky, but fun. To see what Boodapug is all about, check out www.boodapug.com or pay a visit to their tumblr page.

San Jose Stealth Logos
San Jose Stealth/Terry Smith Creations, 2003*
As a professional lacrosse team, the Stealth needed a logo that was big, a little scary, and perfectly suited for fans that love fast-paced action. Terry Smith provided the ninja, Rob did the rest. Rob also worked with TSC to design uniforms for the team.

San Jose CyberRays Logos
San Jose CyberRays/Terry Smith Creations, 2001*
Sadly, the CyberRays no longer exist, but this is still a really cool logo. After co-designing the logo, Rob continued to work closely with the team, designing season tickets, media guides, marketing materials, and even the exterior of the team SUV. BONUS: the CyberRays won the WUSA Championship in their first season. Long live the Rays!

San Jose Sharks Foundation Logo
San Jose Sharks/Terry Smith Creations, 2008*
A different take on the Sharks redesigned logo for the team's non-profit organization. An interesting project in that the idea was to take a sports team logo and transform it into a cleaner, more institutional logo.
