I was directed to this beautiful fabric (it’s a hand woven Turkish tea towel!) by another AG collector, and I knew it was perfect for Marisol’s tallit, a Jewish prayer shawl. It was such a fun project to sew on while on my own Jewish journey!

Fun fact! This doll is by the same artist as Samantha’s original Clara doll!

I found this cute little porcelain ballerina doll at a thrift store and knew right away it would be the perfect gift for Isabelle!

Have you ever wondered what the biggest difference between an “our new baby” doll and an early “bitty baby” is?

Well, beyond some minor changes in the head mold the most prominent difference is the position in which the arms are sewn on.

Since picking up my new bitty baby today I figured it was a great opportunity to show this side by side with my our new baby!

While this isn’t 100% foolproof it’s the fastest way to tell when buying second hand. I say it’s not 100% foolproof because I suspect there were some “transitional” dolls, who after the mold and body change still came in the ONB meet outfit, so there are some ONB with the “bitty baby” body. So this might not be as helpful if you’re trying to ID a personal doll.

However If you’re specifically looking for an ONB try and find one with their arms positioned above their head!

I found some more glass eyed mini dolls yesterday at a garage sale so it was time for a little bit of customizing!

Kirsten received an eye transplant from a damaged Kirsten I’ll be working on (jokingly named jaundice Kirsten).

I spent a good amount of time getting Addy’s eyes to look not quite so startled. I may purchase her new eyes honestly, we’ll see. I love the glass eye minis!

Disclaimer: I don’t recomend trying this unless you have experience with inset eyes, I have swapped MANY rainbow high eyes amongst many other dolls and felt comfortable with my skills, and with using heat.
