roguelike opinion on nethack and dungeon crawl: stone soup

NetHack is a classic and in my youth I sunk a lot of time into it. My good friend @ashweather recently recommended me a new polished version of it whose name I can't remember but I could easily find by searching "nethack open source Finnish" oh there it is, it's GnollHack, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. But yeah, NetHack owns!

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup is another relatively user friendly classic roguelike that I very much enjoy. It is very much cut from the same cloth as NetHack but there's just more of everything in it. While I haven't played that one for a long while either I do still occasionally jump back into it just to see how it's developed and every time I'm positively surprised!
