Spring into Spring

Well, Spring has sprung and we’re blossoming beautifully here at Coast to Coast. This past Saturday was crazy busy, I actually had to call for back-up, for the first time ever! Since Saturday is a half day for us, we usually just have half the staff, well half wasn’t cutting it this time! My beloved co-worker came to my rescue and we certified about twice as many people in 4 hours as we usually do in 8 hours! It was nuts, but it was awesome! We had several women come in to get trained and certified. I always like to see the ladies come in, they’re usually better at it than the guys to be honest.

This week has been pretty, consistently, busy. I think the weather helps. When the weather is nice, not too hot, not too cold, people are more inclined to go out and do something; get something accomplished. I know I am. I guess that’s why we do Spring cleaning. Hmmm, it all makes sense now. This is definitely my favorite time of year.

It’s Just Another Manic Monday

Well, it’s Monday, once again, and a slow one I might add! I’m assuming that’s because everyone is out enjoying their Spring Break in this awesome weather. The sun in shining and the wind is gently blowing, not too hot, not too cold; it’s the perfect day for a picnic in the park, and here we are, inside, certifying people on the forklift! LOL That’s okay though, it’s what we do!

Today we have had several people come in for additional training. That’s another service we provide. Once you are certified through our company, you are welcome to come back and receive more training to brush up on your skills or prepare yourself for a job interview.

This past Saturday was heck-a-busy! In fact, most Saturdays are. We are only . open a half day on Saturdays, but are usually twice as busy as a regular week day. The day flies by and we get so much done!

Well, the later it gets the busier it’s getting, so I better go tend to business!

Just the Beginning

Well, we thought we’d try this whole blog thing out. I guess a good way to start would to introduce who we are and what we’re all about.

We’re a Forklift Training and Certification company located in Santa Fe Springs, California. Our company has been around for several years, we were formerly known as West Coast Forklift under previous ownership, but now we have new owners, new employees and we’re obviously way more awesome now.

We provide a variety of services. We train on several different types of forklifts including the Sit-Down, Stand-Up, Cherry Picker, Electric Pallet Jack and Clamp. We also have safety classes for General Warehouse work. All of our training, licenses and certifications are OSHA (Occupational Health and Safety Association) compliant and can be used with any employer. One of the things that makes us unique to other forklift training companies is that we also offer FREE job placement assistance. Our services are offered in both English and Spanish and we are open everyday except Sunday.

Many people have the misconception that Forklift Certifications are hundreds if not thousands of dollars to obtain, but they’re WRONG! It super cheap and easy! The MOST expensive package that we offer is ONLY $150 and that includes your license, certification and training on FIVE different units. And we help you find work to top it off! You can’t beat that!

So those are the basics. The point of this blog is of course to help promote our business for one, but also to inform people of employment opportunities and show what all we have to offer. Hopefully we can keep future blogs interesting enough to keep you reading.
