Tiger Gestures

Changing things up from my usual pretty gal drawings. Likely will be posting more animal drawings and sketches. These Tigers were drawn with sharpie and my dieing markers in around 5-15 minutes each. Tigers are precious animals and I certainly hope we can do a better job of conserving them.

Bluejay’s Cove

I’m truly happy with the direction my art has gone and the skills I’ve acquired during these difficult post-grad years. I think for me it’s been a matter of not only catching up from my late start in life as an artist, but also dealing with the years of instability thereafter. A huge part of this has been finding my voice as an artist, and learning to let go of people’s expectations of what I should be creating vs. what I’m truly good at and what I *want* to make. I still have a long way to go, but I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved here, and truly believe that I have a lot to offer.

Musette Flying Base Animation

FaerieFM’s main character in her base animation as she flies through the sky! She’s on her way to deliver music to a listener in need~ Progress on this rhythm game continues steadily and smoothly. I’ll continue to post as much progress as I can whenever some is finished.

Item & Object Design for FaerieFM

Me going through the design process of what a falling note would look like for faerie.fm. I tried to take inspiration from classical music, old school side scroller games, and some of the great rhythm games of the past (like DDR). Eventually I landed on this geometric heart shape for the final note design (the falling objects that you collect to the beat). I want FaerieFM to feel modern and sleek, but also feel cute, whimsical, and have lingering themes of positivity and love imbued in it’s design.

Musette Sketch

A quick sketch of my character, Musette. She's the main character of my rhythm based indiegame in development, FaerieFM! It's a game where you soar through the city skies as a legendary faerie DJ, bringing love and good feelings to people's weary hearts.

The First Maiden - Lilith

A spiritual drawing for Beltane~ I see so many depictions of Lilith being a demoness or an evil succubus. Which is a shame. I imagine her being incredibly sweet & gentle, yet fierce! Humorous, sarcastic, and full of personality. I see her as a human.

Danganrompa v3 - Kaede Akamatsu

Forgot to post this here! A fun drawing I did last month of Kaede, one of my favorite characters, ever. She’s basically music waifu~ For those interested, I recorded the entire painting (it took roughly 16 hours) and compressed it into a 10 minute timelapse. Selene Character Concept- Revisited an old character concept for a Fantasy JRPG that I spend my work weeks daydreaming about. Her name is Selene, and she's an Unseelie Dusk Faerie that wanders the moonlit plains of endless night. I wanted her design to feel sexy and exotic. Her front design I had done years ago as a portfolio piece, finally I've gotten around to clarifying the back.
