so, you want to feel closer to your f/o? paimon has some ideas on how you can!

with all of these, you don't have to share them with others if you don't want to! it's for you, you can keep it to yourself or share it on your blog or other places if that's what you want! your selfship is for you, not for other people; do whatever you think would be best!

✦ starting with the obvious: write a fic of your f/o! it could be a selfship fic, or it could just be of your f/o on their own! it doesn't need to be long or elaborate; as long as you like it and it fits how you see your f/o, it's perfect for feeling closer to them!

✦ draw your f/o, or your selfship with them! again, it doesn't have to be "good" or perfectly drawn, it's for your own enjoyment!

✦ make a playlist for them! put in songs that remind you of them, or of your/s/i's relationship with them!

✦ make a pinterest board for them! collect pictures of them, aesthetics that remind you of them or your/s/i's relationship with them, memes you would send them, etc.

✦ make a tag on your blog for things that remind you of them, or that you'd send them!

✦ make a blog for them, where it's as if they're the ones posting on it! maybe even interact with yourself; it may feel a little silly, but it's very cute!

✦ find a scent that reminds you of them! candles and perfumes are perfect for this, you can burn that candle whenever you miss them and imagine them being there with you, or you can put the perfume on you/your clothes/a pillow/etc.

✦ write a letter to them! it doesn't have to be anything fancy, it can just be whatever comes to your mind that you'd want to say to them!

✦ write a letter to yourself from them! again, it doesn't have to be anything fancy!

✦ adding onto the last two, maybe make a collection of letters that you and your f/o would have exchanged! keep them in a box or something, and reread them whenever you miss them!

✦ if you can, make/buy a food that they like, and eat it! if you can't, make/buy a food that you can eat that you think they'd like! imagine sharing it with them!

✦ collect information about them! little details from canon, your own headcanons about them, etc.

✦ re-visit their source! go re-watch the movie(s)/tv show(s), re-listen to the podcast, re-read the book(s), or re-play the game(s) they originated from! sometimes it's just nice to return to their source and refresh your memory of them (or just see them again)

✦ watch, read, play, or listen to something you think they'd like! maybe even imagine doing that with them!

✦ get or make an accessory that they'd gift you, or that you'd match with them!

✦ put together an outfit that reminds you of them, match with them, or even just put on something you think they'd like to see on you! or even cosplay as them!

✦ get or make a plushie of them! it could be an accurate little plush, with each detail exact, or it could be a build-a-bear or other plush that reminded you of them! name and dress it like them! if you have a perfume that reminds you of them, spray that on the plush and cuddle with it!

✦ go to places that you would like to go to with them! bring that plush along if you have one, or whatever other merch (or just a picture of them!) you have!

✦ maybe find a friend who likes to roleplay and would be comfortable doing so, and roleplay your selfship with them! (and return the favor if you can/they want you to, of course!)

✦ learn a craft or skill that your f/o can do! or, if you can't do that, just learn about it! can they code? do woodcrafts? make jewelry? write? are they really proficient in combat? whatever it is, learning [about] their hobby/skill is good way to feel a bit closer to them!

edit, an extra idea from an anon ✦ try making yourself/your s/i and your f/o(s) in a game like the sims (or any other games with highly customizable characters)!

remember, these are all just suggestions/ideas! you don't have to do anything you don't want to, and if you feel like something wouldn't make you feel closer to them, then you don't have to do it!

foxy coltrane (3 from hell), doomhead (31), ace (gorillaz/the powerpuff girls), chop top sawyer (tcm 2), peter strahm & mark hoffman (saw), herbert west (re-animator), sniper, medic & spy (tf2)

and the only platonic f/os i rly have are PHEN-228 (aka the boiled one), and art the clown.. they r such goobers..

hai !! i'm bodur or vincent, this is just a little thing where i'll just kinda rant about my f/os, just bc why not. the main guy i'll be talking about is uh spy tf2... i loev him so much guys. im so hyperfixated on him its an issue

i don't really have a dni besides the basics like no homophobes, transphobes, racists, xenophobes, zionists, etc etc (although as a warning this will have dark content bc. look at my f/os)
