Arguing with normies is pointless, they will never understand what it is like to be an outlier in most aspects in which society deems important. It is easy for them to understand the concept of a "lonely and disillusioned" character, but it is hard for them to actually believe that people like those actually exist.

(TL;DR: Normies can absorb the idea of a social concept, but cannot imagine it ever occuring in a real person's mind.)

They are coded by society to be 'normal' and to be 'in line', so whenever they witness something out-of-the-ordinary, they struggle to understand unless you spoonfeed the information to them.

Take for example, the idea of a 'cause' and an 'effect'. Normies automatically think that the incel community has an unreasonable hatred for women, but they never think of the 'cause' of their hatred.
