an interesting linguistics find! so I'm reading this text from 1908 and it keeps referencing "hp" in the context of "not being at full hp" "applying your full hp to a task" etc

and I'm like....... okay that is a perfectly normal way to describe energy and reads totally clear to me, but I KNOW you don't mean hit points/health points which is the first place my brain goes, so what are YOU using hp to mean

and it's not explained in-text, which means it was common enough to not warrant explanation to the 1908 audience, so gotta look elsewhere

and I'm absolutely FASCINATED that a commonly used initialism from 1908 now stands for something different AND YET the contextual meaning is still the same to a 21st-century reader

the thing that bothers me with 7 deadly sin based characters is when they cant decide if they embody the sin by suffering from it or by drawing it out of others. ie. if your gluttony demon is a guy who loves eating then your lust demon should be a gooner sex pest. and if your lust demon is a seductive girlboss then your gluttony demon should be a 5 star chef. does this make sense.

Overview of some topics when it comes to drawing characters who are burn survivors.

DISCLAIMER. Please keep in mind that this is an introductory overview for drawing some burn scars and has a lot of generalizations in it, so not every “X is Z” statement will be true for Actual People. I'm calling this introductory because I hope to get people to actually do their own research before drawing disabled & visibly different characters rather than just making stuff up. Think of it as a starting point and take it with a grain of salt (especially if you have a very different art style from mine).

Talking about research and learning... don't make your burn survivor characters evil. Burn survivors are normal people and don't deserve to be constantly portrayed in such a way.

Not a single one of these drawings or pictures is a fresh injury. All of them are healed. How the hell would you feel if someone tagged a photo of you as "trigger warning: gore"?

Disabled people are not your fucking body horror. Grow up.

modern au headcanons bc I'm huffing copium

(This is specifically for a fanfic)

×Genya lives with Sanemi. (The family died in a car crash)

×Tanjiro and Nezuko lives with rengoku (family died in house fire)

×Zenitsu lives with tengen and kaigaku lives with Douma

×muichiro lives with Gyomei and obanai visits regularly(brother and parents died, no one keeps their family)

×inosuke and kanao live with Shinobu (aoi and the three girls are the close cousins)

×Zenitsu and Genya both have strict no going out much rules so they often sneak out with the others(most of the time they get caught)

×Akaza lives next door to Rengoku and flirts with him any time he gets, rengoku just thinks he's being nice (tanjiro and Nezuko know that's not the case and are ready to either kill akaza or themselves)

×the same thing happens with Douma and Shinobu? Kanao and inosuke have no idea if they are flirting or bickering but they stay out of it

×Obanai is dating mitsuri and sanemi but those two aren't dating but they do get along.

×Mitsuri is also dating Shinobu (her kids don't know this not bc she doesn't tell them but bc they don't notice)

×They all go to the Same school. Rengoku and Giyuu are the teachers

×Shinobu is a medic, obanai and mitsuri both work at a pet shop, Uzui works at a art shop, and idc to give jobs to the others they do have jobs idk which.

×they all met bc of the sick guy who's name I cannot remember for dear life

×tanjiro arrived just in time when his house burned down and tried to help but couldn't do anything and almost died next to nezuko but giyuu got them out and called firefighters so now he's obligated to visit them once a week by rengoku
