Generation Wine Official Documentary from Kristen Duff on Vimeo.
A four part series exploring the world of South African and French wine through the eyes of two curious MA students
Part 1 introduces South Africa’s drinking culture, and examines what we drink and why we drink it.
Part 2 travels to the world’s top wine producing country, France, where we learn why France is as successful as it is, and answer whether it is possible to transfer some key insights to our own local wine industry.
Part 3 analyses the controversial proposed changes in alcohol legislation, with a debate concerning the potential impact of a total ban on all alcohol advertising.
Part 4 divulges various insights into untapped wine markets, including entry-level drinkers and the emerging Black Middle Class.
Interviewees include both national and international respected alcohol policy and wine experts, including Evelyne Resnick, Professor John Simpson, Dr Joanne Corrigall and Professor Charles Parry.
Cheers to that!

Wine that Doesn’t Cost the Earth from Green Renaissance on Vimeo.
Filmed by greenrenaissance.co.za (facebook.com/greenrenaissance)
De Wet Lategan supplies wine to Woolworths. He is committed to preserving his estate's natural resources for generations to come. This is his story:
Award-winning winemaker De Wet Lategan feels a natural connection to the land, and understands that the health of the soil influences the growth of the grapes, and the quality of the wine produced on his farm, Bergsig.
Situated in the Slanghoek Valley, Bergsig is part of the WWF’s Biodiversity and Wine Initiative, which is dedicated to protecting the Cape Floral Kingdom’s abundant variety of indigenous plants while encouraging wine producers to farm sustainably.
With more land under conservation than under cultivation, Lategan’s commitment to caring for the environment and building a sustainable future for his children in this picturesque area of the Cape Winelands, is as obvious as his passion for producing fine wines.
Bergsig is also the first wine farm to be a part of Woolworths sustainable agricultural initiative called Farming for the Future.

Reflecting on 20 years of international humanitarian work, Chris reflects on the challenges of staying present in the demands of human suffering. Chris parses out the difference between beliefs and faith on the way to embracing a contemplative posture in nurturing our spirituality.
Through moving narrative, Chris draws from powerful stories from his international activism to illuminate three gifts of contemplative spirituality: an awakened sense of our true identity, an cceptance that everything belongs, and an ability to root ourselves in the gifts of community.
