honestly xena didn’t need a awful and dramatic ending like……. they build a littlle house by the ocean. gabrielle writes sad ocean themed poetry. xena grows food. they bicker over who’s getting firewood and then one of them offers the other a foot rub when they get back. xena reads gabrielle’s scrolls by that firelight bc she has the time to do it now. pie fights bc it’s like, still xena. they snuggle in bed and take turns being the big spoon. and the last shot is of the amazons coming up for a visit bc they still Help Out With Shit from time to time, but with one smile u kno that they’re gonna come back 2 the little ocean house and bicker over firewood again.

Remember when Abbie said she feared that she would end up like her ancestor turned to stone and her mother , strong women in their prime taken down by supernatural forces.
The writers dont remember.

The opening sequence of Buffy the Vampire Slayer; iconic, catchy, and always ending with a shot of the eponymous heroine standing tall and proud in the midst of battle.
…Except not in season six or seven.
In fact, season six’s sequence actually concludes with a shot of The Buffybot, and season seven with the show’s final antagonist (The First Evil) masquerading as Buffy.
As many have pointed out, this is rather strange, the equivalent of previous seasons having minor characters like Larry or villains such as Mayor Wilkins as the closing shot. While some have chalked it up to a simple editing mistake, perhaps it’s indicative of something deeper than that.
Season six was- essentially -about depression. After clawing her way out of her own grave, Buffy was left “going through the motions”, to use her own words. She felt cold and numb and raw. While she still raised Dawn as a pseudo single mother, worked an uninteresting job, and forced herself to pretend everything was alright for the sake of her nearest and dearest, Buffy secretly felt detached from everything. Feeling this way was always one of her greatest fears, as confessed in season five;
“Strength, resilience…those are all words for hardness. I’m starting to feel like being the Slayer is turning me into stone.”
- Intervention.
And what do we know about the Buffybot? The Buffybot is an artificial intelligence that mimics Buffy’s qualities (chipper hero, loving friend), but as, well, a robot, is incapable of actually feeling anything beneath the surface. Throughout the whole of season six, Buffy is terrified that she’s become like the Buffybot; unfeeling, a mere impression of the woman she was before, which is reflected in how it replaces Buffy herself in the closing shot.
Additionally, the shot of the Buffybot that’s used takes place seconds before its head is kicked clean off by Glorificus, in striking contrast to previous closing shots of Buffy standing triumphant against her enemies. Perhaps this is symbolic of how rough this season was on its lead; Buffy has to cope with being dragged out of heaven, surviving an abusive relationship, and nearly everyone she trusted abandoning/betraying her. And that’s just scratching the surface.
As for the First Evil taking Buffy’s place? Well, the creepy thing about The First Evil is that it manifests itself as people who have died…It looks like the person it’s imitating. It sounds like the person it’s imitating. It has all the memories and mannerisms and quirks of the person it’s imitating…But the imitation is uncanny, not quite right in some way. Which might be a reflection of Buffy’s character development over seven years, how she’s not quite the same person she was upon entering The Hellmouth. Indeed, Buffy is at her most morally ambiguous in the final season…She calls a scared teenager who committed suicide a “weak idiot” in front of her grieving friends, puts a group of teenage girls in the dubious protection of a violent abuser, and casually tells Robin that she’d be happy to let Spike murder him should he cause any trouble. Whether or not she was justified in these actions aside, the anti-heroism was so much so that some fans insist that it was actually The First Evil impersonating Buffy in those scenes. Perhaps the closing shot hints at this, or maybe just the character becoming more complicated.

Hamilton a star of this weekends Harlem Open House Expo (Real Estate Weekly):
Alexander Hamilton, the unlikely star of a hit Broadway musical, will take center stage again this weekend when the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) hosts it’s 2016 Uptown Open House Expo.
The Founding Father’s legacy is built into Harlem where his home, Hamilton Grange, still stands today.
This weekend, New Yorkers can learn about the history of the neighborhood, its buildings and architecture; and explore, through a self-guided tour, dozens of the hottest, exclusive Harlem co-op, condo, and townhouse listings on the market.
During the free event hosted by the REBNY’s Upper Manhattan Committee, attendees will hear about Hamilton and his neighborhood from historian Kevin Draper of New York Historical Tours, enjoy a free breakfast, receive a neighborhood guide with details on available listings in Harlem, and consult with REBNY’s expert residential brokers on the home buying process.
They will also hear from community leaders and real estate industry experts before viewing the open houses. Speakers will include Curtis Archer, president of the Harlem Community Development Corporation, Angela Hancock, Founder of Experience Harlem, Brian Phillips, Douglas Elliman Real Estate, co-Chair of REBNY’s Upper Manhattan Committee and Charlie Lewis, Warburg Realty, co-Chair of REBNY’s Upper Manhattan Committee.
The Open House Expo starts at 10 a.m. on Sunday (April 10) with a Meet & Greet at Row House Restaurant, 2128 Frederick Douglass Blvd., corner of West 115th Street, sponsored by Citibank. Open houses will be from noon to 5:00 p.m.
