Sometimes I consider how so much media produced by the USA mainly is created and developed in one small space (even when filmed elsewhere). And then I think about how much media in the USA also includes a character who is just a total dickhead - manipulative, shallow, selfish. They actively make life worse for anyone who likes them, but for some reason they always get welcomed back by the character(s) who have been deeply damaged emotionally or socially or financially or etc by them. Who do they think would keep a friend like that, why?

Then I remember it's all made inside a very small region. I know correlation isn't causation. But it makes me think people are involved in some of the most miserable and toxic relationships of all time in LA.
