HE GIVES THE OTHER MAN A CONFUSED BUT UNWAVERING LOOK AS HE LEANS his back against a chair at a table in the back corner of the Mystic Grill establishment, which appears to be part bar, part cafe, and part restaurant, and picks up his box of cigarettes before popping one into his mouth.

He knows that he doesn't really need a lighter to light but he didn't think that showing a stranger (someone he could tell was a vampire just by reading the color of their aura) that he could breathe fire was a GOOD IDEA , so he clicks his lighter into life before taking a long drag of it.

  ❛  Glow? Why on bloody earth would I glow?  ❛ He lets the smoke pour out of his nostrils, smoke that smelled of clove rather than cinnamon (he wanted to try something different for once), and he quickly stubs the cigarette out when one of the bartenders points over to a no smoking sign, which makes him roll his eyes in displeasure. Why couldn't he smoke his cigarette in peace without humans dumping their rules on him?  ❛ Why would my saying I am better than you cause you to ask me a question like that? Do I look like a fairy to you? No, I am a void fox who is starting to realize that one of the local vampires is taking me for a fool. 'What is your name?❜

IT IS ANOTHER STICKY NIGHT AND HIS HOODIE, WHICH HE DECIDED TO PUT ON just to stop him from scaring any weary traveler who was going about their business in this part of the swamp, is already glued to his body. He had planned on visiting Caleb at his cabin that was situated in the heart of the bayou but as soon as he encounters more trees than there should have been and his boots make contact with dry ground instead of mud he knows he has teleported to the wrong place. HE GRIMACES WHEN HE FEELS A SPURT OF CRIMSON LAND SICKENINGLY ON his cheek, due to her slicing her knife across a man's throat right in front of him. His eyebrows furrow in annoyance, and he reaches out to pull her towards him after she lets the corpse fall to the ground.

He doesn't particularly enjoy the mess, certainly not when he takes his own killing style into account, which is normally quick and clean, but everything seems to end up bloodier than it has to be whenever he is around her, as she tends to bring out the worst in him.

 He lifts his left arm up and rubs his sleeve over the wet blood stain on his cheek, yet the fabric is already laden with blood, so it does little to clear anything away except leave his face in an even gorier state than it had been previously. He turns his head to look at Akhos, which does little to clear anything away except leave his face even gorier than before. He turns his head to look at Akhos, and strangely, he finds her blood-splattered appearance appealing to the point where a smile begins to tug on his lips in a manner that is probably a little too syrupy for the macabre scene unfolding in front of them before he presses his lips lightly against hers.

 He did not mind that she still had a knife in her hands because he did not think she would hurt him, especially since she had been giving signals that she wanted more than just a mutual partnership with him for the past few weeks, and he hooked his arms around her neck to keep her in place while he continued to explore her mouth with his tongue, only to be rudely interrupted by the sound of approaching police sirens.

HE MAKES A SOFT HUFFING SOUND IN THE BACK OF HIS THROAT, WHICH probably gets drowned out by the loud music blasting throughout  the bar (music that was really starting to grate heavily on his nerves; why couldn't it have been punk music, such as the sex pistols, or better yet, something by Nirvana?) while  he takes a long, needed drag on his cinnamon-scented cigarette.  It was the only thing that could get him through the night of listening to his sister's bad taste in music, that and alcohol, if you can call it that because he would rather listen to a record of a cat scraping its claws across a blackboard than this.
