Alexandra,

It has been a long time since my last letter, and I am sorry I have not been able to write you in that time. I have been learning a lot, but I miss you every day.

I am writing you today because I have great news! After spending the greater part of about fifty years in England, I am finally being allowed to come home. This time, it is to stay. Oliver told me I will be able to leave in the spring once the weather gets warmer. He is worried it will be too cold to sail any sooner even if that does not seem to stop others. He likes to coddle me, which is... rough.

How have you been? How are things back home? Those brief visits are never enough, and I am so excited that I get to be there permanently. Maybe I will not be so sickly anymore. It does not feel real, but I know it will once I am on the boat. I am getting emotional just thinking about it.

I cannot wait to see you all. Hopefully spring comes soon!
