There is such beauty in fate and choice aligning. The person created as your other half being the same person you would choose, even if they hadn’t been destined for you. It’s the story SJM loves to tell with her fated mates. Destiny and free will aligning. The tangle of the golden thread of fate and the chosen draw of love and desire.

She was leaving tomorrow. 

And that bothered Azriel more than he would care to admit.

The scent of her still lingered in his nostrils, the feel of her skin under his fingertips, the taste of her on his tongue.

The night they had spent together - Azriel had let Gwyn be in control and did the things she wanted. The next morning when he lay between her thighs, lapping and sucking her to a writhing mess - that was entirely for his selfish self.

Azriel had wanted to know what she tasted like. Now he would never forget.

Whenever I imagine scenes from the Gwynriel book, I always see, clear as day, a battlefield. In the midst of the chaos, Gwyn and Azriel are standing side-by-side, one wielding Truth Teller and one wielding Gwydion, and their movements are in tandem. As if a line from a poem, or a sequence in a dance, Gwyn and Azriel move as a unit down the field. Their enemies realize that, beyond Gwyn’s charming personality and brilliant smile, she is just as lethal as her mate.

Gwyn and Azriel are simply merging Illyrian and Valkyrie techniques, after all.

Gwynriel weeks day 10: Warriors 💙⚔️🩵

For today’s prompt, @gwynrieldefenseatty and I wanted to show off an intimate moment with Gwyn and Azriel. A brief moment to pause an appreciate each other. They admire each other’s strength and wit. Their competitiveness eggs the other on. They are each others cheerleaders. The train with each other at night when one of them, or both, are having trouble sleeping. It’s their space. Feysand has the river house. Nessian has the house of wind. And gwynriel will have the training ring.
