Genuinely baffling to me how my dad will see like old guy pro skateboarders and be like “hey I know that guy! We skated together when we were kids.” Or he just casually dropped one time that he knew Maya Angelou and never brought it up again. Or when he told us before the last Olympics in Paris that he’d run into the Olympic Mountain biking team while they were training when he was on the trails, or that he had friends like try out for the kayaking team in 2016 and he took us to watch and my sister and I had no clue what was happening because I was too busy reading and she was too busy learning to kayak to even be aware. He also just has one of Jeff Tweedy’s guitars hanging on the wall in the living room. He also dropped dad lore one time of how he used to go to house parties and the guys from smashing pumpkins were there. In summary the dad lord goes crazy because like what the actual fuck. This man is in his 50s and when we go to shows he’s still in the mosh pit and he like competitively does mountain bike racing, and like kayaks off of waterfalls and shit for fun. He’s also been taking me and my sister to concerts since we were like 5 and 6.

I saw Red Leather and Dexter and the Moonrocks last night and OH MY GOD IT WAS SO FUN. We met this cool guy who was standing by us and he took the good picture of Red’s set and then I took the shitty one of the Dexter and the Moonrocks set, also the cheezit box was so fun. Anyways probably one of my favorite shows ever and I love meeting people at shows it’s so fun.
