Autistic people’s relationship with sex is treated so horribly in so many different ways it’s genuinely fucking frustrating. Whenever a character is depicted with autistic traits a thousand weirdos manifest into existence to say that their cute little autism blorbo “doesn’t know what sex is and must be protected” but over in real kink circles with high populations of autistic people (furry porn and shit) they suddenly become the crazy degenerate perverts. To the greater society at large autistic people expressing their sexuality aren’t allowed to be considered normal, we either have to be sterile and nonexistent or a group of freaky sexual deviants. Give me a fucking break dude.

#honestly?#as someone who loves splatterpunk thats undoubtedly because a lot of splatterpunk books are lacking in genuine PUNK#like#some shitty straight white guy using the genre to affirm his misogyny and have an excuse to write senseless violence against women#is not punk#I wholly stand my the belief that splatterpunk is best when written by queer people of people of color or women#poppy z brite using beautiful prose to convey the strange beauty in violence and death#AS WELL AS the effects of the aids epidemic and how the disowning and abandoning of queer people on a familial and SOCIETAL scale lead to#so many young queer people dying or being harmed by those who did not have their best interests in mind#all wrapped up in a book that is almost entirely fucking unmarketable to a mainstream audience?#THAT is punk#Matt Shaw writing some glorified version of 'he farded and shidded and cummed and threw up :(' isnt punk and its so FUCKING boring#anyways#Kathe Koja is also a pretty good writer. and Dennis Cooper.
