Hello froglers today is day 36 of frog posting I've recently got a job so things have definitely been new and challenging anyways today's frog is......
Surinam toad also known as the star fingered toad (Pipa pipa)
Males of this species range from 107-171 mm in length and 106-154 mm in length (4-8 in) they weigh about 3.5-5.6 ounces (100-160 grams) the females carry there eggs in there back and let them grow into frogletts instead of the usual frog cycle!
These frogs live in South America and are of least concern for extinction there colors vary from olive to brown colored

Hello frommys today is day 35 of frog posting it's my birthday everyone!!! Anyway today's frog is.....
The Great Basin spadefoot! (Spea intermontana)
This frog is about 1.5 to 2.5 inches (3.8 to 6.3 cm) in length and weigh (once again nobody knows the weight???) these frogs are usually grey, olive or brown and love along the West coast and Midwest of America ,
they secrete a defensive ooze from their skin that can cause minor allergic reactions in humans and have a "spade" like structure on there hind legs they use for burrowing and there breeding pools don't support other amphibians because there short lived

Hello frollops today is day 34 of frog posting I hope you all are having a great summer and please don't dry up my amphibious friends! Anyway today's frog
Is......
The tomato frog! (Dyscophus antongilii)
Tomato frogs are 2.5-4 (6.5-10.5cm) inches with females being larger than males, males are a orange red-ish color and females are a bright red and the infants are brown and have a pale underside
They weigh about 230gs in females and 41 in males they come from Madagascar and are near threatened.

Hello ratlins today is day 33 of fro- I mean rat posting this is a collaboration with @rat-council-official anyway today's rat is.....
The bandicota rat also known as the lesser bandicoot rat (Bandicota bengalensis)
These rats can get to 40 cm in length! And are on average 25cm in length they weigh anywhere from 200 to 350 grams!
They live anywhere from India to southern Asia and make pig like grunts when attacking there also considered a huge pest for cereal crops!

Hello frompits today is day 32 of frog blogging I'm about to go camping I hope to find some frogs anyway today's frog is ....
The american bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus)
There about 3.5 to 8 inches in length and weigh 1-2 pounds as adults they can jump as far as 10 times their body length with a maximum of 6 feet there and incredibly invasive species and the females lay eggs in clutches of 25,000 eggs!

The small disked frog! (Limnonectes leytensis)
Also known as the swamp frog this frog is about 25.8 to 34 mm in size and weigh about (once again nobody can give me the weight for this frog) these frogs live in a sub tropical or moist tropical habitat

Hey frog togs today is day 30 of frog posting I also just finished a painting today feeling good anyway today's frog is .....
The African dwarf frog! (Hymenochirus curtipes)
This frogs size is typically around 2-3 (5-7.5 cm) inches with females being larger than males they weigh anywhere from 1.5-2 grams (05-07 oz) these frogs are a completely aquatic and are a type of clawed frog species and are native to the equatorial areas of Africa and prefer lowland rainforests and they do need to come up for air

Hello my only-frogs enjoyers today is day 29 of frog posting and I'm sorry I've been gone so long my moving of homes is done and I can begin posting again on a regular basis
anyway today's frog is......
The banded bull frog! (Kaloula pulchra)
This frog is about 5.4 to 7.0 cm in males and slightly larger in females being 5.7 to 7.5 cm and they weigh about 80 to 120 grams (FINALLY A FROG WITH A RECORDED WEIGHT)
and have slight sexual dimorphism they have brown streaks on their back and a cream colored abdomen they have a loud cattle like below and can live for 10 years

The rock frog! (Eleutherodactylus cooki)
Frog fact number 28# this frogs height is about 34 mm for males and 41 in females and the weight is about (ONCE AGAIN NEVER TO BE FOUND??) these frogs live for 4-6 years there also called the Puerto Rican cave-dwelling frog
the males have a distinct croak that sounds like "co-kee" and the males have a yellow streak on their head

Heya frog-mins today is day 27 of frog posting I'm sorry it's been so long still busy with the moving of houses anyway today's frog is....
The zombie frog! (Synapturanus zombie)
Frog fact number 27# this frog is approximately 37-47 mm (1.5-1.6) in length with females being a little larger at 39-42 mm (1.5-1.7 inches) the weight being(FUCKING MISSING AGAIN I HATE THAT THE WEIGHT IS MISSING 😭😭😭)
these frogs got there names because of the way they dig out of the ground they also avoid droughts by digging deep in the ground where the moist soil is,
these frogs are also the largest of the known synaptyranus frogs

Hey y'all long time no see I've been super busy with my packing and moving houses today is day 26 of frog posting I'm gonna try and post more but no promises anyway today's frog is.....
The black toad! (Anaxyrus exsul)
Frog fact number 26# this frog is about 44-76 mm in length (1.73-2.99 inches) and weighs about (AGAIN I CANT FIND THE WEIGHT IM LOSING IT OVER HERE🐸)
there old scientific name was (Bufo exsul) which means exiled toad as they have the smallest range of any north America toad living only in a small stretch of California (the red dot is their range)
