It's easy to take the whole "piss on the poor" meme as "Tumblr is unilaterally bad at reading comprehension" but it's actually a lot worse.

Tumblr users are selectively capable of reading comprehension when it justifies being mad at someone. Tumblr users will have a comprehensive grasp of metaphor, rhetorical analysis and textual analysis for precisely one sentence in a post, when it helps them conclude that the author meant the exact opposite of the message of the post, if that helps them justify disliking the author of the post.

There's a difference between "disabled" and "legally recognized as disabled," and I just want to give a shout-out to all the other disabled people who don't have formal diagnoses, who don't have access to benefits of any kind, who don't have the ability to use even the shittiest and least-helpful resources, because the process of getting legal recognition for disability sucks ass.

And another shout-out to all the disabled people who purposely avoid getting diagnosed, because official diagnoses can be used against you, and you're unable or unwilling to risk it.

"When you're an adult, you can't get in trouble with other adults-" I'm sorry but did you guys never hear of police and bosses and landlords and prisons and psych wards and other institutions and every other example of unequal power imbalances which directly allow one adult to punish another adult? We unfortunately don't live in a world where all adults are equal and where adulthood alone means you escape oppression.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, less systems would identify as TransID/radqueer if the system community was more accepting/talked more about lesser accepted trauma responses and if the community played less validity Olympics. I've seen systems who identify TransDID because they have OSDD and don't feel like they are accepted in the community due to lack of amnesia. I've seen systems identify with TransTrauma labels because the community makes them feel that if your trauma wasn't this terrible or you didn't have this specific trauma you can't experience what you are experiencing. But no one can talk about it due to the shame related to those experiences that are perpetuated.

With radqueers/TransIDs it's the nature of the communities and the fact that they except people who wish to manipulate the situation to prey on minors that is the problem not necessarily all of the individual experiences. We need to be more accepting of the experiences as a community and minimize putting members of the community/different experiences into a hierarchy. That is where the main problem lies.

Bullying is crazy... I spent 13 years of my life forced to be at a certain location for 6+ hours almost every day, and at this location multiple of my peers would verbally harass or insult me, physically assault me, sexually harass me, socially ostracize me, every single day, for factors entirely outside of my control. And every adult who was ostensibly supposed to prevent this from happening either willfully ignored it or actively contributed to the bullying. And like, I'm supposed to just brush it off as "just bullying" and something that everyone goes through? Like I was literally in psychological torment camp every day for nearly my entire childhood and now I'm supposed to just function like a human being. Anyways what did you want on your sub. Ham and cheese. No lettuce or mayo..got it okay
