Fanfic Submission

Submitted by randomoligy Fears This is actually my first ever fan fiction. I hope it is not too bad! Princess Bubblegum was sound asleep, but a creak by the window roused her. Ice King again? But no, it was Marceline, sitting there with the moonlight bathing her in an even paler shade. Flashing a fanged smile, Marceline rose and floated towards Bubblegum. The shirt under Bubblegum’s sheets felt suddenly a bit hot on her skin. “So Bonnie,” Marceline started, teasing her with Bubblegum’s first name, ” you didn’t forget I would be stoping by, did you?” Marceline’s voice was cool and coiled, hissing away like a snake. A very large snake. “No, I didn’t forget.” Bubblegum seated herself upright now, and the blanket slid down past her shoulders. A quick glance from Marceline and back up it came. Her brain was still a bit foggy, but Bubblegum did remember something she had planned with Marceline a couple weeks back… It came back to her then, and she hurriedly started to shake her head. Oh no, she thought, not now. Marceline, as if she could read her thoughts, plunged forward and gathered up Bubblegum in her arms. Soaring out of the window, they streaked across the night sky. The night air chill, Bubblegum once more took notice of her shirt, the only item other than her underwear she was wearing. “Marceline, bring me back now!” The answer came slithering into her ear, “You wanted a flying lesson, you got one.” With this, Marceline climbed even higher, and the little warmth Bubblegum had flew from her pink body. She now angrily thought back to that night several weeks ago, when she was over at Marceline’s. She remembered- after much too many shots of filling- how she had relayed to Marceline her fear of heights. With interest and a touch of mischief Bubblegum adored, Marceline proposed a way to get over that pesky fear. Now rather glum, Bubblegum wished she could have seen that hinted mischief. Climbing even higher, Bubblegum can only weekly hold on to Marceline. Without warning, she suddenly falls, tumbling through the air to the ground. But at the last second, Marceline grabs her close to her body, and lands softly on the ground. Bubblegum shakily stands up, then collapses to her knees. She yells towards Marceline, ” What was that!?”. Sitting rather nonchalantly beside Bubblegum, she just nods and asks, “So? How do you feel?” A thousand words roar through Bubblegum’s mind, but only three stand out: that was fun. Maybe not fun, but now that she is on the ground, Bubblegum can certaintly call it exillerating. Thrilling. Fun. She looks to Marceline, and suddenly hugs her, and gives her a peck on the cheek. Blushing, Marceline picks her up and turns towards Bubblegum’s window a fair distance away. But Bubblegum stops her, and whispering in her ear says, ” Just one more time.” Please rate one to ten.
