While you’re on a study break:
Paint your nails. Doesn’t matter if you’re good at it or not. It’s a quiet, calming, easy activity that takes up the perfect amount of time for a break and still requires some amount of focus. Put on a Youtube video or Netflix while you do it.
Watch a John Oliver video. If you don’t know him, he’s a comedian and host of Last Week Tonight on HBO. His pieces are hilarious, informative, and all around 15-20 minutes.
Change the sheets on your bed. Changing your sheets often is good for your skin, still technically productive, and who doesn’t love snuggling up in a fresh bed after a long day?
While you’re at it, clean your space. It’ll get you on your feet and again, still technically being productive.
Make yourself something to drink. I hate to be that blogger™ but  Stay hydrated, loves! No energy drinks, if you need something more exciting. We are adults in this household, we get our caffeine like adults. Always go tea or coffee.
Take a nap. There are legends that if you drink a coffee before you take a nap, the caffeine will wake you up naturally a little bit later and you’ll feel super energized. That sounds fake but idk knock yourselves out.
Put on an RIP Vine compilation and dissociate for a bit. I’m not kidding.
Take a shower. Or just stand there under the hot water a bit. You’ll feel like a new being.
Know that you are a boss
Seriously
You got this and I believe in you

push yourself to get up before the rest of the world - start with 7am, then 6am, then 5:30am. go to the nearest hill with a big coat and a scarf and watch the sun rise.
push yourself to fall asleep earlier - start with 11pm, then 10pm, then 9pm. wake up in the morning feeling re-energized and comfortable.
get into the habit of cooking yourself a beautiful breakfast. fry tomatoes and mushrooms in real butter and garlic, fry an egg, slice up a fresh avocado and squirt way too much lemon on it. sit and eat it and do nothing else.
stretch. start by reaching for the sky as hard as you can, then trying to touch your toes. roll your head. stretch your fingers. stretch everything.
buy a 1L water bottle. start with pushing yourself to drink the whole thing in a day, then try drinking it twice.
buy a beautiful diary and a beautiful black pen. write down everything you do, including dinner dates, appointments, assignments, coffees, what you need to do that day. no detail is too small.
strip your bed of your sheets and empty your underwear draw into the washing machine. put a massive scoop of scented fabric softener in there and wash. make your bed in full.
organise your room. fold all your clothes (and bag what you don’t want), clean your mirror, your laptop, vacuum the floor. light a beautiful candle.
have a luxurious shower with your favourite music playing. wash your hair, scrub your body, brush your teeth. lather your whole body in moisturiser, get familiar with the part between your toes, your inner thighs, the back of your neck.
push yourself to go for a walk. take your headphones, go to the beach and walk. smile at strangers walking the other way and be surprised how many smile back. bring your dog and observe the dog’s behaviour. realise you can learn from your dog.
message old friends with personal jokes. reminisce. suggest a catch up soon, even if you don’t follow through. push yourself to follow through.
think long and hard about what interests you. crime? sex? boarding school? long-forgotten romance etiquette? find a book about it and read it. there is a book about literally everything.
become the person you would ideally fall in love with. let cars merge into your lane when driving. pay double for parking tickets and leave a second one in the machine. stick your tongue out at babies. compliment people on their cute clothes. challenge yourself to not ridicule anyone for a whole day. then two. then a week. walk with a straight posture. look people in the eye. ask people about their story. talk to acquaintances so they become friends.
lie in the sunshine. daydream about the life you would lead if failure wasn’t a thing. open your eyes. take small steps to make it happen for you.

i used to believe in my dreams, were i become the main cast of my own film. It's feel great, its like "everything". its just only me and my dreams. i could imagine myself, become something i never felt before. like, become the princess, or become the doctor. it give me freedom and for a moment, forget about the reality. i do love my dreams. really do. but when im older, i realize that it just a lie. I always imagined myself become one of the "popular" student, that has a lot of friends, everyone likes me. But, the truth is im never be that one. and the worsted is, im become the nerdy one, that always forgotten. but thats a life. everything is not always work out for you. but it doesnt mean that i cant get what i want. and know, i do believe with my dreams.maybe im not become your princess or your favourite person, but i can be my own princess. the point is, dont trying to be someone else, be who you are, and accept everything with gracefully.
im not giving up on my dreams.
im being serious.
but not like you, im workin my buttoff for my dreams. like colin powell said "a dreams doesnt become the reality through magic, it takes sweat, determination and hardwork."

get lost. take that train. read for hours so time passes faster. talk with strangers. say hello to dogs. walk down streets you’ve never been to before. look up to the sky. go to coffee shops. tell that barista that you think her shirt is cute. take pictures with your polaroid camera. buy post cards. ask random people what their mantra is. go into that hipster looking vinyl shop and support the owner by buying a record by his favorite band. laugh with people you’ve just met. exchange numbers. ask for book recommendations. buy that book in the book store right around the corner. take the bus to a park. watch the sunset. remember that you are loved. take the train back home. hang the polaroids up your wall. continue exploring and learning. learn to love life.

Here’s some fucking advice yall:
Middle school is worse than high school.
High school is worse than college.
No one fucking knows what they’re doing, we’re all just faking it and pretending we understand so people will respect us but if you tell us we’re doing it wrong, you’re probably right because rarely does someone know better.
You will find something you like to do that you can make money doing.
You’re going to find friends that aren’t going to fucking wreck you.
You’re not always going to live in the hell hole that you’ve known for so long.
It’s going to get better, but I’ll be honest, it doesn’t always stay better, but it gets better again. Bad times are just times that are bad. They don’t stay. Everything is fucking temporary.
Just fucking watch your favorite TV shows, tell ppl you love them when you do, and don’t play games with emotions because it ends up hurting like hell.
And eat dessert when you want it.
And know you ALWAYS deserve better.

Look, I get it.
I get why you don’t want to believe in God. I get it. You’ve seen the Christians on street corners who are screaming about going to hell.  You’ve seen Christians turn a blind eye. You’ve seen Christians give really crappy answers when you’re hurting. You’ve seen Christians in church ignore the new people. You’ve seen Christians avoid you in the store. You’ve seen Christians be downright hurtful. You’ve seen Christians be just plain mean.
Here’s the thing.
Christians aren’t Christ. I get it. Christians give Christ a bad reputation. I do it. I swear and listen to music and mutter words that would make my grandma and my Jesus blush. I’m mean. I avoid people. I get it.
I get it. We base our beliefs on what we see. We build our perceptions on our experiences. We base our opinions on what we’ve learned.
If you’ve had a bad experience or 47 bad experiences with Christians, I’m sorry.
This isn’t one of those posts that is going to end with the typical, “we’re all sinners and that’s why Jesus died for us”. although that is true - that’s not the point of this. What I’m saying is that Christians are going to disappoint you. Christians are not always going to represent Christ. Christians are going to hurt you. Christians are going to not look like Christians all of the time.  But are you following a Christian or are you longing to follow Christ?
Are you getting to know Christians and doing things how they do them or are you getting to know who God is and why exactly He sent Jesus? Are you spending your time pouring over Instagram and trying to match your journaling bible designs to the ones you see there? Or are you spending your time pouring over the Bible and trying to match your life to the ones detailed in the stories told there?
What I’m trying to get at is this: Christians will misrepresent God. Christians will mess up, we’ll make mistakes. We’ll say the wrong things. Because we’re not God. We’re not good at being God. We’re good at being humans. We were created as humans, and God is God. God is good at being God. God won’t misrepresent himself. God doesn’t mess up. He doesn’t make mistakes. He doesn’t say the wrong thing. He doesn’t leave. He doesn’t break his promises. He doesn’t let you down. Christians are meant to follow God. Christians are meant to become more like Jesus, not other Christians.
If you’re skeptical about this whole thing, I get it. But if you’re willing, please seek to learn who God is and not who Christians can make him out to be.

Staying organized is often vitally important to success, but it’s something I definitely struggle with. I’m sure I’m not alone in this, so here are a few alternatives to your current method of planning and organization! I hope at least one of these will resonate you and help you find your best method.
Bullet Journal: probably the most popular with studyblrs, and very aesthetic, although they do take some time to set up!
