Hybrid Experimentation
Ghost x F!Reader
Part 3
Tumblr media
When Ghost came to Soap and told the Sergeant he had a task for him, the Scotsmen wasn't expecting it to be a smack-down with the new hybrid. "I don't want you holding back on her, do I make myself clear?" "Course' sir." A big smile on the blue eyed man's face, definitely brimming with cockiness. "Should be a piece of cake." If only Soap knew the trouble his Lieutenant was getting him into, Ghost knew of course, he always knew. With a chuffed expression Soap went to find the feline, explaining to her how important it was it keep up with training, even the basics, and he wasn't wrong. It was important, she even agreed. So when it came time to actually spar it boggled Soap's mind when he was thrown to the ground within the matter of seconds. The cat above him using all of her weight to keep him down. "Okay, okay." She rolled off and back up, he got up. "That was just luck." No comment, "Again." A few hands thrown before he was knocked on his arse. "Again!" The Scotsmen was getting agitated, she knew it too, so she played. Making him dance around her like a marionette. He couldn't believe it, moving so gracefully she was. With each knock down Soap began to realise the difference between humans and hybrids, she was even stronger than him, faster, smarter.
0200, finally he called it quits. Huffing and puffing on the floor, sweat and bruising for later. "You're slow." She murmured, tip toeing around his prone body. "No' slow, you're jus' freakishly fast." A smack in the face with the end of her tail, "The taller man promised a punishment, this is not even a warm up." "Ghost his name is." A hand reached out, he took it, hoisted back onto his feet. "Is Ghost faster than you?" "Yes." "Want to spar him then." That made the man laugh, an unimpressed look on her face. "What?" Holding a hand, slowly gaining his breath back, "Lt is on a different level-" "So am I, I just handed you your arse like it was nothing." The Sergeant deadpanned, "I don't think it's a good idea." She just stared, "Fine then, I'll ask him in the mornin'." "Nonsense, I can ask myself." He began to pack up, taking his time. Thinking over about it, "Listen-" Spinning, Soap didn't see her anywhere. "Where the 'ell.."
Bang bang bang. Ghost's eyes shot open, bloodshot. Only just managing to get to sleep, now awake, again. Flying out of bed, stomping to the door. It was almost ripped off of it's hinges with the amount of anger he was expelling. "What?!" He growled harshly when revealing the hybrid. "I want to spar you." A click of the tongue, the wood creaking under his grip. Glancing over at his clock, 02:30, big bright red numbers. "Where is So-" "You said I am awake at this time every night, you're not wrong. Soap isn't good enough, so you're next. I want to spar you." She wasn't taking no as an answer that much was obvious. "Go to bed, hybrid." It was a warning before the storm to come, one that didn't phase her one bit. "No." If looks could kill, she'd have dropped dead and been rolling in the grave. Those brown eyes staring down at her green ones, cat-like. "I want to-" She didn't get to finish the sentence, calloused hands wrapped around her forearms, engulfing almost the entire things. The texture difference was easily noticeable, goosebumps breaking out along her skin, up her spine. Entire body tightening, head tilting back as it hit the nape.
The brute picked her up like she was nothing to him, not a seventy - eighty kilos humanoid, over his shoulder she went. Catching the weight with ease, moving to the room beside his. All she could think about was how his hand felt on her upper back thigh, even with clothes on. Everything he did was so heightened, it was having her hybrid question things and by the time she came to he was above her. "You will go to bed." She sat up, "But I want-" Rough hands grabbed her face, squishing cheeks together. "Bed." Pushing her back roughly, a breath of air leaving her lungs. The way he glared her down, it screamed Alpha. Hands tensing by his side ready to shove her back down if she tried again. "Okay." She murmured, pulling the covers up. A gruff noise left him, "I will deal with you later today." He shifted, leaving as quickly as entered. Door shutting behind him abruptly plummeting her into darkness, heart pounding, tail curling around her torso. He made her obey.

Hybrid Experimentation

A knock on the door, ears perking up, eyes travelling from the random book she had found to the wooden door. Sniffing the air, it was two of the soldiers that were apart of her new group, which ones she couldn't say for sure. Getting up and silently moving to the door, it swung open showing off Soap and Ghost. A smile and dead eyes, "Yes?" "Hey lass, we were goin' to have a games night if ya wanna join?" "Games night?" Arms crossed, "We play card games and drink." Soap explained cheerily, watching her nose scrunch up, "Mmm, no thank you." Turning to shut the door, a gloved skeleton hand shot out grabbing the door, "It wasn't an offer." His rough voice causing a rattle to go down her spine, whole body straightening. Not even a second later the door shut with the three of them standing there now, her eyes on Ghost. "Okay then!" Soap beamed, leading the way.
Through the corridors and around a few corners, they were heading to the mesh hall, that much she knew. When arriving, Price and Gaz were already there at the usual table. Other soldiers at neighbouring tables also having a few games and drinks, "Finally." Gaz spoke up first as the three sat down. "Oh fuck off we weren't tha' long." Beers handed around, naturally they placed one in front of the hybrid. Curious eyes watched to see how she'd interact, sniff here, head tilt there. Carefully picking it up and bringing it to her lips, it went as expected. Slamming the bottle down and spitting the beer out onto the ground beside her, ears flat, teeth showing. "What the fuck is this?!" "It's beer lass." "It's piss water." Hand shooting out, she pushed it clean off of the table.. just like a cat. "No-!" Crash! Glass went everywhere, heads turned, beer spreading across the floor. "Why did you do that?" Gaz murmured, staring at the mess. "It was disgusting and I wanted it out of my face." Gaz scoffed, "Not a single bit of manners trained into her." "Oi watch your-" The feline got up and walked out without a single word, Price sighed rubbing the arch of his nose, "Ghost can you please?" He knew what to do, getting up and following after her.
Ghost's long legs should have caught up to her, or at least that what Price thought, though he was wrong. Because by the time Ghost caught up to her all he saw was a glimpse of a tail as she shut the door. She moved relatively fast. Ghost thought to himself, even the silent killer was impressed yet somehow, not surprised. His thick knuckles ringing out on the door three times before coming to a hault, a huff could be heard from the other side before the door opened. "What?" She snapped, body language screaming annoyed. Tail going, ears down, arms crossed, "You didn't need to walk off like that." She blinked, "I told yous to begin with, I didn't wish to participate." Stood her ground. "And you don't leave your room unless it's for food, the others are trying to get to know you. Do you not see that?" He reasoned gruffly. "There's nothing to know." She was being difficult, real difficult. "Fine then hybrid, what activies would you have done back at the facility?" "Train, kill, sleep." It was a short list, but he could work with it. "You want to train then?" Now that caught interest, "What type of training?" Caution rode in her question, "What do you like the best?" Eyes darted between his, a tug on her lips. "Hand-to-hand." He nodded, straight to the point. "Fine, tomorrow night, midnight. You're always up around then anyways, keeping me awake." Her tongue clicked, turning away. "Just you or are the others joining?" "Oh no, I'll be sleeping while you fight the others. I don't care for making friends with a weapon, this is more for their benefit." Such cold words they even made her double back at him, it came out of no where. Face contorting from confused to anger, "Excuse me?" "You're just an experimentatal weapon. One day only to be taken out and put to the side as a new genetic hybrid appears," Ghost did a one eighty, walking away like they had never interacted to begin with. "Don't forget, 0000, kitty. I'll tell Johnny to come get you." The Lieutenant had left his subordinate absolutely baffled. The entire time he didn't care one bit, just doing what he was told. There was something about him that made her skin crawl, his voice though? That had power even she couldn't begin to understand as the door shut softly behind him.

Hybrid Experimentation
Ghost x F!Reader
Part 1
Tumblr media
The clinking of chains against each other echoed down the silent hallway, two pairs of steps to follow. Windows blacked out, the only light provided was the ones above her head and even they were flickering. End of the hallway was reached and a door opened gesturing for the two figures to walk in. The room was horribly dull, grey walls and flooring, a steel table in the middle between them. They were all lined up, one by one, waiting. Laswell and the hybrid came to a stop in front of them, silence fell before a voice spoke up, “In thanks to the government support we have managed to create the first functioning line of hybrids to help us in the line of war.” Laswell explained to the four men. Green eyes flickered to each and every one of them, tail flicking softly. Eyes that caught every movement, twitch, change in body language, trained eyes. Those four sets of eyes stared right back, trying to break down the strange mammal standing in front of them. Half human, half cat. Tail, ears, teeth, and claws the whole deal. “Are you sure she’s fit for this line of work?” Price, the man with the Boonie asked. “She was the best suited for your squad, specially trained for it.” They all eyed her; no reaction came from the hybrid though.
Laswell pulled the file out from under her arm, placing it on the table sliding it across. “Small file.” The masked one observed. “Isn’t much to know about a weapon of war.” Price opened the file, going over the file before moving it down the table for the rest. “Highly skilled.” He murmured. “She was built for infiltration mainly, tearing a place down from the inside.” “An assassin?” “An assassin that can handle herself if cornered.” A huff left the assassin, “Am I being hired or not?” Ears twitching irritated. “Impatient little thing.” The Scotsman spoke up, his mohawk catching her eyes. “H-” The blonde woman tugged the chains causing a hiss to escape, a silent warning to shut it. “So, what happens if we accept her?” The dark skinned one asked. “You will get to go on missions and use her, a test dummy. The hard part is picking her handler.” Price looked at his men then back at Laswell, “Do we need to pick the handler now?” “No, go on your first mission with her and see how it goes. She will listen to you Price because she's been taught to, but whoever becomes her handler is the real master.” All four of them nodded so Laswell handed over the chains to Price, not once did she throw up a fuss about being tossed around, after all this is what she was made for.
A room allocated between the Lieutenant and Captain, no way for any sneaking around. Price swung the door open, walking in. Light creamed coloured walls with a concrete floor to boot, colourful indeed. A tug then a clash of chains hitting the ground, she was free yet didn't move at all. "This is your room hybrid, you can relax." Price spoke. Turning to look at him only to see Ghost directly behind him, "All of this is mine?" There was uncertainty in the voice. They both nodded, "Your bag should be here soon with whatever you bought from-" "I didn't bring anything." A minute of silence, "What do you mean you didn't bring anything?" Ghost asked gruffly. The bed creaked as she sat on the edge of it, "I mean I didn't bring anything." That was all the information they were getting clearly. "Okay well, Ghost and I will talk to some people and have them bring you some uniforms ans casual clothing." With that they left, shutting the door. The feline was delved into silence, eyes scanning the room. "I get a whole room to myself.. This isn't that bad so far." Laying back, sleep finally took its rightful place with the lingering affects of home sickness, strange.
Interactions with her was minimal for everyone. Head down, into the work. Barely any words ever left her mouth, when she was finished with her duties there was no sticking around. Straight back to her quarters for the rest of the day, it went like this for a week before Price finally put his foot down. Three loud knocks rung out, seconds later she appeared. Tail flicking tiredly, ears flat. "You're coming to dinner." It was an order, met with a nod. Price entered the mesh hall with her following directly behind without ease. "Well, well, finally got the kitty out of her nest." Soap laughed as they sat. A meal already set out for her, bangers and mash. That night was eventful, the team learnt she was raised as a literal feral animal. Hands grabbing the food shoving it into her mouth, it ended with a few scratches for the men (Soap mainly) and a happy feline who learnt how to use utensils.
