The death must be registered
Probate must be applied for

https://funeralmap.co.uk/arranging-a-funeral/funeral-transport/
The casket is typically transported to the funeral place in a cortege—a convoy of cars. The hearse remains the most common funeral conveyance, and the funeral director will provide extra cars for the transportation of family members.
The coffin can be transported to the funeral in any vehicle of your choice; this is just a custom. There are now a variety of cars available for this excursion, with of the most well-liked options being listed below:
Authentic hearses
Colored or white hearses
Sidecar and motorcycle hearses
VW hearse
4x4 hearse
A funeral lorry

https://funeralmap.co.uk/uk-funeral-costs-are-at-an-all-time-high/
Funeral expenses are higher than ever, and people are taking on more debt to cover them on a daily basis. An average of £1,990 is borrowed by 14% of people on a yearly basis to cover the cost of a loved one’s burial. The entire amount owed by the UK for funerals is £147 million.
According to the Royal London National Funeral Cost Index, a standard funeral in the UK currently costs an all-time high of £3,785. The government is thinking about how to lessen this burden in light of the sharp increase in funeral costs, stagnating (or even declining) earnings, and further austerity measures.

The Funeral Procession, Who Goes Where - FuneralMap
The person arranging the funeral decides who will be in the cars or limousines following the hearse – this is usually family members and sometimes close friends. Most of the people going to the funeral will use their own cars and may choose to meet the procession where the service is being held. Usually the funeral procession leaves from the home the person who has died.

https://funeralmap.co.uk/arranging-a-funeral/donations-at-funerals/
The first step is choosing the charity if you want funeral donations to go to that organisation in honour of the deceased. We have "Helpful Organizations" section that includes a list of the majority of the major charities along with their most recent contact information in case one or more charities quickly come to mind.
There are various methods to donate to a funeral. Funeral directors can help; donations can be submitted to them, who will then add up the total, send it to the charity, and send you a statement of what was gathered. On the back of any Order of Ceremony distributed at the funeral, it is frequently noted where donations should be sent.

Choosing The Correct Music For The Funeral - FuneralMap
Music is immensely moving at funerals. The ideal musical selection can perfectly capture the emotion you want to express. So when deciding what to include in the funeral ritual, take your time and make thoughtful decisions.
It’s common for families to already have the music for the funeral on CD, LP, or tape. If there are no obvious pieces of music, cremation staff, pastors, and celebrants can offer advice on popular selections of appropriate music as well as how to locate certain pieces of music when only the title or first line is known.

https://funeralmap.co.uk/arranging-a-funeral/choosing-flowers/
Flowers have traditionally been included in funerals, but as with all funeral-related decisions, consider what feels appropriate for the funeral you are planning.
Whether the event is a burial or a cremation, flowers are an important aspect of the funeral since they make the occasion more beautiful and give people something to look at and speak about.
Even if you heard of the passing after the funeral has already taken place, you may still send flowers. After the funeral, receiving a floral arrangement at home can be a reassuring and appreciated reminder that people haven't forgotten about you.

https://funeralmap.co.uk/arranging-a-funeral/coffins-and-caskets/
A casket is a box created specifically to store the body of a deceased person. It is often used to view the body during a funeral service. The body's casket is then lowered into the grave during the burial ceremony if the family has not decided on a cremation burial. And A coffin is also the same as a casket.
Traditional coffins are made of wood, such as mahogany, oak, or pine, with an outer veneer and a lacquer coat to give it a shiny finish. Many forest burial locations today demand a casket to be built of biodegradable materials due to the growing popularity of Eco-Funerals.

https://funeralmap.co.uk/attending-a-funeral/the-funeral-ceremony/
When it comes to the actual ceremony, there are many things to consider, we have outlined a few items to read through and understand before the ceremony.
Entering the church, chapel or crematorium
In some cases you will be ushered in to take your seat before the family and coffin arrive, at other funerals, you might wait until they have arrived you walk in behind them.
What to expect during the funeral ceremony?
In a church or other religious building, a minister of religion will conduct the ceremony. The ceremony may be led by a funeral celebrant or humanist officiant in a crematorium or at a natural burial site.
Showing emotion
People cry at funerals – everyone understands this and that some people don’t cry. Everyone grieves differently and shows different levels of emotion. There is no right or wrong here, it’s about showing your support.

https://funeralmap.co.uk/how-to-access-or-close-bank-account-after-death/
After the death has been registered, probate must be applied for. But before we go into how to get probate, we should talk about what it is. Probate is the process of legally dealing with a deceased person’s estate. Although, it is worth noting that if the deceased’s estate was jointly owned by a spouse or civil partner, probate may not be required.
Before you can deal with the deceased’s bank account, there are a few steps that must be taken before financial assets can be dealt with (aside from arranging a funeral that is):
1. The death must be registered
2. Probate must be applied for
3. Banks, utility companies, and insurers must be contacted
4. Inheritance tax must be considered
Registering a death is the only way to get a death certificate, without the deceased’s death certificate, the bank accounts held by the deceased individual cannot be accessed. Probate is the process of legally dealing with a deceased person’s estate.

Aspects of arranging a funeral you may not have considered
If you are arranging a funeral, either for yourself or for a loved one, then you’ll no doubt have a list of the essential services and items you need to sort out – a funeral director, celebrant, coffin, service and crematorium or burial plot being just a few! However, there are other aspects to a funeral which you may not have considered (especially if the death has been sudden and nobody was prepared for it), but these may give the funeral that extra finish which you feel your loved one (or you yourself), deserve! So if you have not arranged funeral services for your loved one, then must do it.
