The sound of a voice was surprising enough, not to mention the fact that it was neither screaming in fear nor cursing her as a demon. It took a moment for the spell that buzzed in her ears to translate the other woman’s words, but eventually they rang through.
Was she okay? Not… exactly…
”Ah-” The answer was complicated.
It was then that she noticed the clothes the girl wore, and her interest piqued immediately.
”You’re not from here!” She exclaimed, a grin breaking out across her face. The unnerving sensation of her spell twisting her English words into Japanese didn’t even bother her through the excitement she felt - this was not a peasant from the past. Maybe she knew how she could get back… !
The other woman was clearly not a product of this era, if her reaction was anything to go by. But how would she have gotten here otherwise? As far as she'd known, it'd been the Shikon no Tama that had brought her here to begin with -- could another person somehow transport through the well, too?
"That's right. I'm from -- er, another country," Hopefully she wasn't on her way to another handful of sacred salts to the face.
She laughed a little, nervously.
"I'm Kagome. You wouldn't happen to be from around here, would you?"
