This is a digitally-colored version of Turquoise Conjunction. It was one of two options I provided to my publisher as we pulled together the cover art for the Dragon Adventure 2 coloring book.

These colors are meant to be pretty close to what I wanted when I did the traditional mediums coloring job, but it took me a couple of years to get around to it. So the color scheme changed significantly - not unexpected, of course. I mean, here I didn't even use any violet!

This is another of the more recent additions to the Stone Dragon series, Aquamarine Sanctity.

I wanted some strong color contrasts, so I wound up with almost as much ultramarine as aquamarine, but I like the way that mess of feathers and scales came out. In fact, this is probably one of the more coherent designs from the latest set of Stone Dragons.

This is entirely Prismacolor Premier pencils with some silver paint pen detailing.

This is the Target Dress Challenge - they fancied it up with a knife,gun and a cute bunny. I say they win

Jeez, it’s like having only one character

to represent your whole gender

in a group composed all of another gender

is a bit upsetting huh?

At Target this lady told her son he couldn’t have a Wonder Woman doll because “that’s for girls” and then bought her daughter the same one. It got me thinking about how often I see people bar young boys from appreciating girls/women as protagonists and heroes, and my own experience with it as a kid.

I’m joining juli_artwork ’s prompt list with the prompt “eyes”! My idea for this was the way that moths and butterflies use spots on their wings to mimic eyes and making a dragon with that idea! Hope you guys like it!
