Building on this, I think you might be on to something with Silksong being a prequel. Skong spoilers (well, spoilers based on pre-release info at least), and also speculation on my part, but:

We have plenty of indication that Void will be extremely important to the plot of Silksong. The ancient egg is a badge, as well as the Fragile/"Everbloom" which ALSO has a known interaction with void, Phantom's character design SCREAMS void, and the release date was shown in a cloud of void smog, and void particles. You can even hear the hum from the abyss beneath the music.

Additionally, something I noticed during my replay of Hollow Knight is that Hornet seems to be strangely knowledgeable about void. She KNOWS about the Dream No More ending being possible, she KNOWS the void can be "united", she KNOWS EXACTLY what is behind the door to the abyss.

But before seeing that trailer, I never really thought to question how, exactly, Hornet came by this knowledge. I doubt she learned it from the Pale King, he seems far too distant a figure to have been a proper father to her, let alone teach her the eldritch secrets lurking below his Kingdom.

If Silksong is a prequel, it opens the door to explaining why Hornet knows the things she does. That perhaps, she learned them in Pharloom.

I remember reading trivia once where Hornet used to have dialogue about "Spending too much time in that Kingdom" in the greenpath fight before her dialogue was changed in later updates

however I can't find any evidence of this being true? If you know anything or have screenshots please let me know

Was rereading the Flea Caravan description last night for that doodle and I found the line "Masters of the journey, their caravan boasts a bounty of flavourful food, powerful drinks and some surprising amenities."

I wonder if we can buy or even make food items to give Hornet buffs, like botw/ttok

Or God forbid we have to make sure we keep her fed regularly
