    "  i  can  imagine.  "   even  though  for  the  most  part  ,  he  hadn't  moved  too  far  from  munich  in  the  past.  this  place  had  always  been  his  home.  and  he  loved  it.  but  there  were  several  who  signed  on  over  the  years  that  he  made  effort  to  help  them  adjust  to  the  team  and  a  new  place.   "  do  you  facetime  them  every  day?"  alex  asked.    "  i  know.  you're  doing  great  out  there  so  i'm  not  worried  that  much  .  " 

Xander looked at him and nodded. "You can say that again. For so long I have just been able to jump in the car and go and see my parents." He said. "I am still getting used to the fact that the closest I can do now is Facetime." Xander told him. "I know I will get used to that but it is still so new to me." Xander glanced back over at him. "It won't affect my game."

                            he  missed  being  out  there  with  the  rest  of  the  national  team  but  he  understood  why  the  coach  was  against  it  and  didn't  want  him  to  be  there.  bright  side  ,  at  least  it  was  still  fun  to  watch  from  the  crowd.   "  you  did  good.  and  –  i  think  it  was  a  bad  decision  not  to  have  you  starting.  "  he  was  going  to  remain  hush  about  how  another  guy  was  getting  the  captain  position  and  not  jo.  considering  that  too  ,  was  an  awful  decision  and  he  had  a  feeling  that  jo  wasn't  too  happy  about  it  the  decision  that  were  being  made  recently  within  the  team.   alex  placed  his  hand  on  his  shoulder.  "  let's  go  grab  a  drink.  i'll  tell   'v  that  we'll  be  back  later.  " 

Jo couldn't exactly argue with that, there was always something coming up. Though he can't help the small smile tug at his lips. "Danke. It was frustrating not starting but....I tried to make up for it."

       it  was  always  a  nice  sight  to  see  other  coaches  ,  coming  to  support  their  players  and  former  players.  it  brought  on  a  whole  different  light  that  not  everything  was  as  competitive  as  it  seemed  to  be.   alex  held  a  smile  as  the  coach  spoke.  "  and  that's  one  hundred  percent  valid."  the  goalkeeper  laughed.  "  don't  worry,  he's  fitting  right  in  with  all  of  us.  we're  taking  care  of  him.  "  alex   added.  "  doing  better  now  that  i'm  back  out  on  the  pitch.  that  whole  year  off  was  torture.  " 

Will tried to get over here when he could to see Xander play. But it wasn't always possible. Not when he had other games to see. Thankfully he had got out there and was now at the game. It was easier to blend in here than back in the UK. He had been leaving after the game when noticed one of Xander's team mates. He had seen him too. "Well, I have to keep up on how he is doing here." He laughed. "It is good to see you too. How are you doing?"

       he  was  just  messing  with  her  ,  honestly.   of  course  he  wasn't  a  fan  of  dortmund.  and  he  had  his  reasoning.  a  little  more  than  rivalry  ,  truthfully.  but  after  hearing  that  she  was  a  fan  ,  alex  couldn't  help  but  make  some  slightly  snide  remark.  a  laugh  came  from  the   goalkeeper  as  he  shook  his  head.  "  means  i  thought  you'd  do  a  bit  better.  "  once  again  ,  he  was  joking.

            yeah  ,  something  was  up  without  a  doubt.  given  his  performance  at  practice.  his  head  wasn't  in  it  and  alex  was  one  of  the  first  to  notice.    when  it  came  to  relationships  ,  the  goalkeeper  had  his  share.  his  last  serious  one  was  just  two  years  ago  .  and  that  was  an  engagement  called  off.  mostly  because  she  wasn't  ready  for  a  commitment.  that  left  alex  a  bit  messed  up  for  a  while.  but  having  friends  helped  him.  now  it  was  his  turn  to  help  someone  who  was  one  of  his  best  friends  and  who  he  cared  about.   which  is  why  after  the  all  went  to  the  lockerroom,   alex  had  to  ask  what  was  up.   "  good  things  take  time  ,  jo.  "  the  captain  replied  ,  moving  to  take  a  seat  next  to  him.   "  one  day  ,  you'll  get  the  right  woman  in  your  life.  or    you  might  already  have  her  in  front  of  you.  "  there's  a  small  and  playful  smile  forming  on  alex's  lips.  "  you  know  ,  my  cousin  is  into  you.  "   he  lightly  gave  him  a  nudge.  "  saw  you  two  talking  the  other  day  at  the  house  while  i  was  on  the  phone.   and  i  would  have  thought  she  would  have  had  the  courage  to  finally  speak  up  about  it  to  you  during  that  game  you  sat  with  her  at.  "  he  was  doing  them  both  a  favor  at  this  point.  because  davina  refused  to  talk  about  it.    "  and  just  so  you  know  ,  she's  had  a  thing  for  you  ,  about  five  years  now.   you  should  talk  to  her.   she'll  probably  want  to  kill  me  for  this  entire  conversation  but  ,  i'm  doing  you  both  a  favor.  she's  a  good  girl  and  you're  actually  one  of  the  only  men  i  know  i  could  trust  with  her.  "

He'd been distracted at practice, that much was obvious. Well, maybe to some. He wasn't sure how obvious it was because he did his best to mask it. But of course nothing seemed to get by Alex. That man knew him far too well, his last break up getting to him just a bit more than he wanted it to. He looks up briefly at the taller blond as he sat at his locker and back down at the floor between his feet. "What's the point of an empty house and a good job?"
