General Septimont story complaint ramble incoming

WuWa story has been kind of a snorefest recently cuz 3 climaxes of Septimont have been Rover doing a cool fight against a manifestation of the Threnodian with a Waifu of The Patch by their side. Like man, Ragunna at least had an engaging fun cast and intriguing cult vibes. Septimont is just bland action. Why are we doing Overthrax battle remixes again and again.

Phrolova is the only character that sticks out to me cuz her story was doing a lot of fresh things.

The Lost Beyond is an interesting extension of previously established worldbuilding concepts (Tacet Discords, human consciousness preserved in reverberations, etc.)

Phrolova is inherently interesting by being an antagonist, and a playable one.

Phrolova is the first character to challenge Rover being a goody two shoes flawless protagonist. Up to this point characters have been doing nothing but hyping Rover up as the world's awesomest guy.

At this point I can't wait to get out of Septimont and go somewhere else so we no longer do nothing but fight Leviathan again and again. And I hope Kuro create more characters that shake up the status quo of the story instead of ones that push the plot to follow the same pattern again and again.

Crazy to me that Phrolova having almost 100% crit rate with her signature is just the norm. I never thought I'd actually be capable of having this kind of crit rate on a character. Considering her kit also gives her a large amount of crit dmg the crit ratio on this girl is even crazier.

Every day im haunted by how much the ENG dub’s early misunderstanding of Xiao’s character massacred my close personal friend the “about us: drowsiness” voiceline. People who never play in CN don’t even know how endearing the original is!!! 😭 like

Even if you don’t understand CN I feel the difference is clear just in audio alone. What each of them convey about Xiao as a character is Completely different 😔 ENG Xiao sounds like he’s just snapping at you out of no where bc you spooked him by sneaking around in the middle of the night while he was on guard while CN starts with him having dozed off before startling awake and getting flustered you caught him being sleepy…!

I’m so sad a lot of people don’t know the original glory of sleepy Xiao voiceline (tm) and similar such things. I always reccomend anyone who likes Xiao listen to him in CN at least a little bc I feel it’s the only one who conveys this specific tragic gentleness to him that gets rather diluted in the other languages’ voice directions

JI XIA ARC!!! he’s sooo gorgeous, i couldn’t stop staring at him and didn’t pay much attention to the story oops. gotta review this chapter then lol.

this man successfully fried my brain like WHAT WAS HIS DEAL??? the way i sat there for a minute and went this MF WHAT THE HELL??? i’ve never been confused about a character in my life lol knowing how history perceives him in-game, he’s supposed to be cryptic if that makes sense? i guess his actions gives room for interpretation and what you think of him?

If anyone is looking for a game with a heart-wrenching story then I am letting you know Black Beacon can and does kill its playable characters, a fact that ruined my life today when Chapter 7 dropped

few understand that Genshin Impact is a game that will reward u handsomely for finding elements of it autistically compelling once you come to understand its madness. it just also suffers from a mental illness called being a gacha game

what if humanity built the tower of babel to reach the heavens and just kept going until it reached space, and they realized upon seeing outer space that there was no heaven, so they stopped. and now it's invisible because nobody believes in it anymore. but the tower is still there and has become so incromprehensible because it's not the biblical tower of babel, it's actually the library of babel as described by jorge luis borges in his short story "the library of babel" — a seemingly infinite repository of knowledge that you can get lost in. also there's time travel involved, because of course there is.

that's the worldbuilding premise of black beacon
