Claire's scarf.

Looking back at Capcom's artwork, I am still conflicted on this point. At first, I figured it was only for decoration to enhance her photo. Then someone said it was part of Alexia's outfit, although it appears to be black and gold.
I am trying not to stray too far into my theory, but something is nudging me. Anyone want to help me out and shatter my delulu mind?

We aren’t using an obvious label for our ship anywhere that we totally should,
Under Pressure
I understand the convenience and specificity in the merging of their names for the ship, but for the love of god why are we not using Under Pressure at all in reference to them.

I realize that Chris and Claire share the same design to show a connection, however, I think it’s more associated with Claire as well as the band being something more affiliated with her (ex. Let Me Live).
And I present to the court also,

Capcom 30th Anniversary Offical Artwork.

I think they all look fantastic. :)
But let us quickly discuss Claire.

Red boots?
Exposed stomach?
Ripped jeans?
Corset top?

Thank you for the hint Capcom, and this time her costume will not be dull.
(I am curious about the black and gold scarf and what it's supposed to signify.)
EDIT: Capcom updated the pic with Chris's RE5 hairstyle. O_O

Resident Evil 9 enthusiasm and a potential Clesker crumb.
It's been a long since I posted, but I didn't want to leave out my excitement for the new trailer. Grace Ashcroft is an adorable character, that I know I'll enjoy. The return to Raccoon City, has me all in guys. Even the Outbreak characters are discussed, mainly Alyssa Ashcroft, my mvp in the game.
I am quite excited about this entry and will make a purchase on day one.
With that said, I would like to share some information with my fellow Clesker lovers about a little location called the "Apple Inn". "The Apple Inn"

First mentioned and used in Outbreak File #2 "Hellfire" scenario.
"The Apple Inn was a mid-sized hotel located close to the city's business district. Its primary customers in the late 1990s were tourists who benefited from its affordable prices for rooms, offering $25 per night for single bedrooms.
Despite its prices, the inn nonetheless offered the appearance of a more refined establishment, with a restaurant on its ground floor and antiques as well as a courtyard in the center. The hotel changed owners in 1998, and saw a further change in the hotel. The security system saw upgrades and security was expected to make regular patrols, though was unpopular among the staff due to concerns it was inconveniencing their duties.
An elaborate art installation was also introduced to the bedrooms; a series of paintings of European castles were placed around the inn against a switch which connected to a light-up map of Europe in Room 204. This art piece was not liked by its guests, with the occupant of Room 204 being kept awake by the lights flicking on and off, and the other guests believing them not to work at all.
On 23 September, a strain of t-Virus contaminated Raccoon City's drinking supply, leading to a rapid spread of Cannibal Disease across the region and triggering the Raccoon City Destruction Incident. In the opening hours of the crisis hotel guests, workers and refugees from the street sought safety in the inn. By evening however, a fire had erupted within the building though the exact cause is not certain as fires had quickly spread throughout the city already, though its origin may lie with a gasoline tanker that exploded on the embankment adjacent to the inn earlier that evening that resulted in an inferno."

"During the Outbreak in 1998, many individuals sought refuge at The Apple Inn as their final hope."
One of the refugees, happened to be Ada Wong's liaison in Umbrella Chronicles. Ada, following her heartbreaking departure from Leon, was saved by Albert Wesker. More than likely through an employee of his, that remained in the city. A liaison to Ada Wong, awaiting for the G-Virus sample she was tasked with, hid at the Apple Inn while awaiting an update on the mission. Believing her to have failed and without a means of escape, he killed himself in the lead-up to the Presidential authorization of a missile strike.

"Hey Ada!"
The Apple Inn also housed many familiar guests we see through out the series.
Dario, from Resident Evil 3 and Remake 3.

The Band Big E, who were regulars at the hotel are mentioned in Resident Evil 3 and Remake 3.

"Hey Jill!"
"One of the band members left their ring, and the hotel made a commemorative medal for them."
What is the objective except bringing you lovely people lore?
In my opinion, the hotel also served as a drop-off point for other nefarious activities. Some were certainly hinted at throughout Raccoon City's lore, and others remain unknown. So I would not be surprised if people like Albert Wesker used that location for drop off points, meet ups or sending his employees to that location.
Which leads me to our darling Claire Redfield, who frequently traveled to Raccoon City to see her brother. A college student who probably wants to save money and find a place to crush other than Chris's bachelor home. Would most certainly accept the option to stay at a more convenient location.

":)"
This is an old registration log from a few months ago before the outbreak, and Claire's name is written in the book. Make of that what you will, but I had to bring back an Outbreak Easter egg, because of 9.
Enjoy Claire fans.

Happy New Year Clesker fans.
We welcome in the new year, with this powerful statement. "Ornamental nonsense Clesker Saga is one of, if not the best, Clesker fanfics ever created."
Truly one of those fanfics I revisit every year and read thoroughly.
-The slow burn
-The action
- The tension
-Clesker was never OOC
-Chris finding out, and my girl Jill picks up on the hints
-Excella gets slapped.
-Their bonding moments.
-Alby Dearest
-That ending
In Conclusion: You just had to be there!

With that stated, we know the CVX remake is in the works, and it's apparently in its early phases. According to what I've heard, the Umbrella building in Paris will be used, assuming they stick with what Claire discovered inside. Let's just say Claire is not going to let the mention of Wesker's company go overlooked. Trust me, she'll bring it up when they meet. But if Capcom does not mention this, they're purposely undervaluing Claire's significance and tale. (I might make an entire topic on this) Hopefully, we'll hear something before 2026, so update your GPUs and storage folks.
#clesker#claire redfield#albert wesker#claire x wesker#wonder when we'll get more rumors soon as the people are restless#code veronica#If they get rid of Dearheart or lovely#we riot folks

Recently, I came across these tweets, and I kind of can’t stop thinking about this.

I adore villain x heroine ships and dynamics, and frequently find myself pondering what it is I love so much about them. One thing I’ve come to notice is this very idea: the importance of the male villain’s desire for her… his near-obsession and the fact that he is threatened by her. And, as mentioned in those tweets, part of what makes that so special is the rarity of seeing men or male characters treat women as being so important, as being valid or worthy of consideration as a threat. To me, it can be almost empowering to explore such dynamics through fiction.
One of my favorite movies, of course, is Star Wars: A New Hope, and primarily because I’ve always been absolutely obsessed with whatever is going on with Leia and Vader and Tarkin there. It always draws me right in… the powerful Dark Lord near-obsessively chasing down this tiny defiant young princess, slaying so many soldiers and going through such effort, so adamant that she be brought to him alive.

And from there, she’s treated as a high-class prisoner, heavily guarded and locked up tight, interrogated ruthlessly… but resisting with all the strength and pride of a leader in an underdog rebel movement. She’s essentially the one who is the key to the entire story.
As for Tarkin, he spends much of his screen time dealing with Leia… focused on how best to break the rebel prisoner who holds such key information in this galaxy-spanning war. Most famously, of course, this is illustrated with the destruction of Alderaan… an entire planet wiped away as an act of spite and a means to manipulate the girl he regards as a critical enemy. He is rather creepy and demeaning to her, too, but this only serves to add to a complex power dynamic worth exploring….
Moreover, I imagine it is rare to see a powerful military man treating a nineteen-year-old young woman as a credible threat to his Empire, but in ANH, it’s very much the case. And with the villain/heroine subtext I rather enjoy envisioning from their little scenes together, it can be quite captivating and unique.
There are a lot of similarly enjoyable pairings in many mahou shoujo series— Usagi and Dimande in Sailor Moon, Ichigo and Kisshu in Tokyo Mew Mew, and all manner of Pretty Cure rarepairs— where young girls simply trying their best are the ultimate key to defeating evil and have an ongoing rivalry/love-hate relationship with the worst of monsters. The subtext in such dynamics is fun to explore just as it popular in fandom to do with many popular male superheroes and their archenemies— Batman and the Joker, for instance.

In fact, even when it comes to the most cliche and stereotypical damsel-in-distress stories, the inciting incident, the villain’s capture of the innocent girl, always comes from his inherent desire for her— whether it be her beauty or status, or some form of obstacle which she presents to his evil plan.

It’s so strange and fascinating to think that these sorts of dynamics, particularly when it comes to ship discourse in fandom, are often decried as “toxic” and “abusive”. It’s not as if there aren’t some very dangerous power dynamics at play— which only makes these relationships that much more fun to explore in fiction— but so too can they truly serve as a power fantasy for women and girls, who are so often told made to feel as if we aren’t important.
Sometimes I just need a villain to chase me across the galaxy and regard me as his “worthy foe”, you know? 🥺🥰
