Pic 1 A translated scan of anatomical diagram of Hedorah. It was in Godzilla Vs. The Smog Monster, by Sonorama Records released in 1971, the same year as the film, that had Godzilla’s anatomy on the opposite page.
Organs that lacked a 所 kanji were interpreted in my translation attempts as not being a reserve storage organ, but collecting the mentioned substance temporarily from matter traveling through the digestive system to be transported elsewhere
Pic 2: The untranslated original
Interestingly, it seems to have been recreated from scratch in some other book with slightly more information

The blue sac unlabeled in the original drawing appears, from what I can make out to be some some sort of storage place for either “strong acid”, or “sulfuric acid”. Whether that fits with the artistic intent of those responsible for the Sonorama diagram I am unsure.
The third pic comes from the The Godzilla Monsters Anatomical Encyclopedia (ゴジラ大怪獣 かいぼう図鑑 Gojira Daikaijū Kaibō Zukan), with my edited additions translated on. It was a special supplement issue of the children’s aimed TV Magazine (テレビマガジン Terebi Magazin) showcasing physiological and anatomical information on most Godzilla kaiju. Its exact release date I was unable to find, but it definitely came out after the Sonorama publication considering it includes Mechagodzilla . Most likely it was published the interim between the two Mechagodzilla movies given the lack of Titanosaurus and Mechagodzilla 1 being the version shown.
Oddly, despite the anatomy of Godzilla in this anatomical being almost a complete replica of Godzilla’s anatomy in Smog Monster Sonorama (the differences being mainly shorter wording and done mostly in hiragana and katakana due to being aimed at children, the valve between the stomachs and nuclear organs being omitted, and the toenails being lableled), Hedorah’s anatomy diagram in this publication is completely different from prior!
I am baffled by the changes honestly! I can understand simplifying for children, but this is a complete overhaul!
Does it even contradict the other diagram, or could they be showing different layers?
The ambiguity of “stomach versus crop” kanji makes some things unclear.
I am also confused on “sludge skin”. Is it meant to be a cutaway to lower epidermis? If so the perspective with the intestines is off.
However, an interesting thing here is that the organ of the flying form used in flight are included here.
Anyway: Both diagrams agree on one thing: unlike every other kaiju in the book no hearts or lungs are shown. Hedorah seems to consist almost entirely of a nervous system and digestive system.
