Aside from the totally indulgent shit I suggested in the thing I just reblogged from you;

If gihun saves myungi then myunggi saves gihun, since that's the dramatic faith in humanity culmination, gihun decides there is still only way to make sure the baby makes it out -- someone has to die. I dunno, maybe it's silly, but if myunggi and gihun have a dramatic heart to heart and thematic threads are woven neatly into the conversation, Gihun could be like well. I would still very much like to die, meanwhile this piece of shit wants very badly to live, maybe that's enough of a deciding factor. Gihun goes to sacrifice himself, and well I dont want him to be successful but ig that's an option.

I really want Gihun to live BECAUSE he has absolutely no reason to. Everything is taken from him, but he chooses to live. That's what I need man

And then he and myunggi become gay dads it's fine

And inho gets pissed off probably because he dumped gihun and myunggi back in Seoul together as another part of his argument with gihun, like, well fuck you for not proving me right, how will you like it if you're forced into providing for a baby no one wants and her shitty murderer dad? And as for gihuns arm -- myunggi did fucking drive that huge knife through it LOL theres a huge hole in his arm at that point rip

I like the idea of the voting and/or refusing to even press the button and start the round at all, I'm not sure how viable it is, but I thought the VIPs would be like what.. how anticlimatic ... + they start talking about how to handle it "well they all just lost" "no the baby wins" "but the round was never started" "that's not fair blahblah" "oh no if we dont have a winner how can we justify the existence of this game by providing a reward and not just using it to kill people"

This could drag things out until the evacuation. Option 1: VIPs sigh and say this game was a bust just toss them out alive I guess

Option 2: gihun, myunggi and baby are returned back to Seoul in squid game fashion (tied up, blindfolded) and as they sort themselves out, gihun realizes 1- they're both still in those murder tuxedos and 2- there is no credit card stuffed in any of their mouths, leading Gihun to the conclusion: the game never ended because they never started the round. What does this mean??? First of all, gihun is stuck with a broke, self-absorbed youtuber who tried to kill him and a baby with no reliable parent in sight, and second -- are they going to be put back into the games at some point?

I dunno, maybe a little crazy. But decent enough set up for two deadbeat dads who hate each other to develop a bond via forced proximity and ties to a baby, fall in love and then kick some more ass in another season of games LOL

anyway my preferred gihun vs myunggi showdown would be to let myunggi do almost all of that but at the end he couldn’t bring himself to threaten the baby’s life and realizing that it would be better to let gihun win and thus stepping on the button and then letting himself fall because THAT is the point of gihun’s faith in humanity; that ANYONE can change, that they can choose to help, to do better, even the lowest of the low. having finalists being some randos from o group and myunggi who was shown to be morally grey and selfish throughout the season was a GREAT opportunity to do that and they messed it up

#im still in awe of the fact that myunggi is so much of a wimp that gihun was able to one-handedly pull the knife out of his arm #and myunggi was pushing his entire body weight into that knife. two hands #like...... gihun damn

Same thoughts like, myunggi falling was too easy, I mean yeah cool but what woulda been cooler is if Gihun DID save Myunggi from falling, hurtling myunggi into an identity crisis as, with that act, Gihun has defied all of Myunggi's paranoia (that gihun is just trying to trick him like others have before, and that people as compassionate as gihun DO exist). this would mean he still makes all the horrible threats about the baby, but he could confess that he wouldnt have been able to go through with it as he and gihun cry all over each other or something gay like that

[Tangent: I imagine this playing out as Gihun getting Myunggi to grab his ankle before the coat rips, and gihun helping myunggi climb his body lmao to get up. Gihun can then either use his superhuman strength to ascend, or myunggi has aforementioned crisis, realizes his conscience cant handle letting gihun fall, and helps him up]

I think there are alternatives to myunggi choosing to sacrifice himself too !!(he might be too self obsessed) I wont go into allat but the point is, humanity.
