My introduction
Hello, my name is Garliclicker and I live in the UK. However I'm of Polish blood, born and raised there. I want to write a few words as an introduction to me and my blog...
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
As a little girl, I never would've expected to move around a lot, especially from country to country, I never would've thought I would be able to speak another language fluently nor go to a new school where I would have to use it on a daily basis. However finding friends which I could share my hobbies with was even more unexpected. My life has been completely flipped upside down in the span of a few months to a point where I cannot comprehend what it could've been if I haven't left Poland.
I moved to the UK during my school holidays of 2018, and at first I had been inclined to believe that this trip out of my home country was merely to explore the world, take a break from the exhausting atmosphere of a bustling city that Krakow is and catch up with family, yet this assumption proved to be naïve under the circumstances which we left at; in a massive rush, packing the most important things and saying goodbye to the family back in Poland. Knowing this, imagine my surprise when I was told we wouldn't be returning home and on top of that, I would have to go to a new school here without even knowing the language. From that day on England would become home for the unforeseeable future. I cried for days on end, I was terrified of the big and complex world that opened up before me, and rightfully so as I was so young and innocent. A world full off endless possibilities and major opportunities.
School and literature is a massive part of my life, it played a very significant role in shaping my opinions, dreams and aspirations when I was growing up and now continues to give me hopes for the future. It has been a 'stable rock' in the storm that engulfs my life, an anchor holding my ship down in a deep and dark ocean. I fully comprehend that my move is a great privilege which many people wish they had however it hasn't always been sunshine and rainbows.
I constantly struggle with longing for a home regardless of whether I have a house or not. The emotion of yearning for as familiar building is engraved deep in my heart, leaving a squeezing, wrenching, grasping pang in my heart whenever brought up. I never truly had a safe place to manifest myself as a person, a place I could call home, a place which I don't have to worry about vanishing in a press of a button. All of this greatly influenced the person who I am today and how I react to stimuli around me.
I also have to deal with the isolation from my peers and co-workers because I don't fit it and never have. My 'abnormality' makes it difficult for me to interact with those around me as their judgement and lack of open mind shakes me to the core. Our customs differ drastically and I have little similarities with them so this is where my blog comes in to play. I am very optimistic in finding some friends or just like-minded individuals who share my hobbies, views or past experiences.
My family also told me to start one since I've always wanted to do a thing like this :D
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Thank you so much for reading till the end if you did, and if not, no worries I understand this post is massive and won't pique everyone's interests. Have a great day and I hope to see you on my blog soon!
Garlicked this. <333

No because why hasn't anyone done anything like that? I would be very happy to financially support whoever starts it up, with my £5 in my bank account that is.
