unrequited love for siblings is the saddest thing you could ever portray on its own but over the garden wall said what if the kid is like the sweetest most kindhearted five year old you could imagine and he loves his brooding wistful bitch of an older brother sooo so much and enough to offer up his life in exchange for his brothers when his older brother saw him this whole time as just an annoying step sibling at best and a nuisance at worst and you cant be too mad cause hes also a kid and then when he finally figures it all out it saves them both, the decision to leave lethargy and the rot of melancholy behind and take the love he already has as proof the world is worth it after all and aaa a a. aaaaaa. aaaaaaa. aaa. what a sweet story. what a lovely thing.

I'm working on this story called The Lord of Gentle Swords, inspired heavily from southeast Asia, and these two are the central characters. The story is about an undead prince, Darenya, who is endlessly searching for an ancient sword that cannot kill, but can heal anything that touches its blade. The use of the sword is ritualistic. Once to undo evil, again to reinforce the body of whatever evil has touched, and three times to wholly heal. The gentle sword's magic is endless, but the sword itself shattered long ago, just like the world they live in, the Hidlawonen, whose continued existence is ensured by undead slaves whom are criminals who were put to death, and whose bodies are reianimated to serve the world that had no kindness for them.

The white haired one's name is Darenya, he is a trans man and the black haired one's name is Radinta Agni.

The story is about the world of Hidlawonen, the trembling archipelago. The world itself, Hidlawonen, is made up of a literal shattered planet, and each part the planet shattered into what is called a "sundering", with each part held closely together by the magic of their dead gods. There are six sunderings, Harilunan; The northernmost sundering, Binsahaya, Janalila, the wealthiest sundering, Sasaban, an occupied land puppeted by Janalila, in most maps, Sasaban is called "Western Janalila", Dayang-Dayang, and Kalantiaw.

Darenya is a Sanjata, an indigenous group of people who are scattered all over Hidlawonen, but were pushed to a very small autonomous region in Harilunan. In the world of Hidlawonen, there are boats and there are ships, but none as great as Dragon Ships, warships as large as floating villages built from precious wood from enchanted forests, forests that are most dense in the sundering of Sasaban. This precious resource is strictly controlled by Janalila. The dragon ships are the only sailing boats capable of leaving the "force" (gravity) within a sundering, and each dragon ship is captained by a Karhanan, a person who can breathe with force and navigate a dragon-ship. Darenya is born with a natural affinity for Karhanan, so he was sought after by the Janalilans to captain one of their dragon ships.

Friendly reminder that Ocean Ramsey is a scam artist who touches wildlife and sharks for social media clout and claims she is Doing Science by touching wild sharks, with no formal degree or qualifications.

Her “work” revolves around her looking pretty around sharks and does very little in the way of actual shark conservation. Her companies allegedly chum the water, bringing in more sharks so people can swim with them.

Her and her “acolytes” say it’s super easy to “redirect” wild sharks by pushing on their noses. Except the sharks they’re working with are likely being fed and are not actively hunting.

Sharks are still predators and they deserve respect. Don’t touch sharks, don’t approach and hold onto sharks. Leave them alone and observe from a distance.

I make this post because Ocean Ramsey just got a whole Netflix documentary all about how amazing and great she is and it’s only going to encourage people to follow her lead.

There’s been reports of people literally going out to whale carcasses that sharks are feeding on and jumping in the water with them to get their social media clout, only days after Ocean Ramsey posted something.

Instead of watching the documentary, I recommend watching this video from an actual shark scientist:

Basically just… don’t touch wildlife.
