I searched and searched for an artist's conception of a Sasquatch I and a friend of mine experienced on the Green River at Auburn, Washington, June 26, 1967, at 1:30 a.m. And finally, after a thousand drawings, paintings and photoshop creations, I found it!
It was a mottled gray as the painting shows, with a domed head, long arms, about 7 feet tall and seen at the angle shown in the painting, only it was its right side I saw not left side as shown. I could just barely see its right eye, cheek and jaw as it moved quickly up a slight embankment on the opposite side of the river. Credit to: Paul M. Woodruff.

MY SASQUATCH SIGHTING!
It's been over 57 years ago that my friend Miles and I had a close encounter with a Sasquatch that was wading through a river that fronted his home. It was the Green River that runs through Auburn, Washington and we were just high school kids camping out in his home's backyard. They had about 60 feet of river frontage.
On a starry night on June 26th, 1967, at about 1:30 a.m., Miles and I first noticed a bright steady white light appear suddenly directly above us at a seemingly high altitude. The other stars and planets were not nearly as bright. It stayed in sight for one minute or less. It was then that Miles and I saw a pale blue light appear suddenly just above the trees along the river. It was in sight less than 2 seconds.
After those 'UFOs' appeared, we then heard dogs barking and howling. Many dogs were sounding off wildly as owners yelled at them or tried to get them inside. In that noisy ruckus, we heard very loud splashing sounds as if something big was wading through the water upriver.
Miles lived on the river, so he thought it was a bear. As the splashing got louder (and closer) from upriver we retreated to the patio area for safety. As Miles looked to his left, downriver, and I looked straight ahead, a massive humanoid figure rose up out of the streetlights' shadows cast over parts of the river. It had close resemblance to the many descriptions of Sasquatches over the centuries.
Gray mottled hair, very long arms, domed skull, over 7 feet tall, etc. It took a few steps up the opposite bank into heavy saplings and brush. I saw it for less than five seconds. But it changed my mind that so-called phantasmagorical creatures actually do exist! Miles was very disappointed he hadn't caught a glimpse of the creature. In a few minutes, all the dogs had gone quiet and only the sounds of the river water, frogs croaking and crickets chirping could be heard. It was like a brief wild dream to both of us. UFOs and Bigfoot sometimes go together but what is the link, if any?

If you want ideological paranormal weirdness, it's still available at alt.prophecies.nostradamus (APN) but in limited quantities! This poster is a "tribute" to the diehards that are still there but increasingly don't know why.
It's sort of an addiction. After a while, even insanity becomes a warm and fuzzy feeling! Leaving it, may put oneself in jeopardy of facing the "sane" world where nothing seems to be what it purports after the decades roll by. I'm 73. The decades are my bitter monkey on my back. After all those years, humanity looks even more crazy.
Some say Satan lurks in the internet, in its darkest corners and weirdest holes, but I say Evil is actually everywhere and in all humans.
So, since God can't get rid of Evil permanently, Mankind shouldn't have to sweat it for its failures.
What we need most now is to love one another and do unto others as you would have them do unto you. And we don't need to really love each other to get along, but we need to respect each other and the Law, and all our rights under it.
And never, never support Evildoers no matter how charming and entertaining they may appear nor even how tough and powerful they act and speak, but you will always know them by their works not their words.
Never put known Evildoers into the highest offices of influence over the masses. No, no, no! But it's happened before, and it's now happened again in some of the most powerful nations' highest offices.
It has happened in America, Russia and Israel. It appears Evildoers are rising up in several other key nations, banging on the executive doors of power (and wealth).
War fever has returned as an Evil whose history is one of great suffering, mass death and destruction and... sick tyrants sadly followed by enthusiastic large audiences willing to sacrifice for their belief in their promises and philosophies.
It is an era of human tragedy played out on a global stage, a revisitation to the abyss of our darkest behaviors.

THE MAN FROM U.F.O.
"The Man From U.F.O" is a sort of partial bio of a five-year period in my life when, as a teenager, I started a UFO "club" which was called the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (UAPRO). It was started at age 14 in July 1965 and received some significant local publicity in newspapers, radio and television. It ended in 1970 just before my 19th birthday. I met a lot of interesting unique people such as contactees - people that claimed psychic/physical encounters with extraterrestrials they usually claimed were living among humans, some married to them.
This Jefferson Airplane-scored video is by no means complete. It leaves out much but overall I wanted to relate a very unusual experience as a teen that I will always treasure. Bits and pieces of the rest of my history as UAPRO's creator and director will appear as I can find the time and good health to get it posted. I am now 73 years old and not in good health after a stroke. I use a walker and quad cane to get around these olden days, but that's where fond memories come into play. I hope I don't lose my good memories!
So, sit back and watch "The Man From U.F.O." and imagine that in the 1960s only about 15% believed they were ET vehicles. Now the same pollster reports that over 50% believe the phenomenon may represent an ET presence on our planet. Quite a change, but it took 50 years to achieve a greater acceptance of that possibility - which many on the net are convinced it's a certainty while others are just as adamant UFOs (UAP) are highly advanced human technology and most are simply natural and conventional phenomena such as meteors, unusual weather phenomena, balloons, hoaxes, etc.
The video's title is a loose take-off on a very popular TV series, "The Man From U.N.C.L.E" - a 1960s Cold War spy series along the lines of James Bond films. The nation was in the midst of violent and peaceful social change with a nuclear Damocles sword hanging over our advanced ape heads.
Thank you for watching.

SAN FRANCISCO'S SUMMER OF LOVE
In 1967, in the city of San Francisco, on the streets of Haight and Ashbury, a very colorful, eclectic, dreamy and free-spirited group of young men and women, and their children, were all part of one of the world's great social experiments.
LSD-fueled young people, many also smoking weed, eating mushrooms and popping White Cross (speed), had created an alternative living style that was energized with psychedelic rock music (among other genres). Many musicians were also similarly fueled chemically.
And there was plenty of "free love" among a colony of artists, writers, philosophers, gurus, cinema experimenters, actors, musicians, etc. It was truly an idealistic social experiment that held great promise for general improvement in the species' behaviors. Love and peace were expressed in many ways through their various art forms and entertainment presentations.
They became famously or infamously known as Hippies. Communal living, free love, peace and understanding, spiritual renewal, etc., were the priorities of Hippies and they were very much antiwar, antipollution, for civil rights and as much freedom as possible.
Yet, the "straight" society back then denounced them as drugged-up spoiled middle-class kids, irresponsible and even threatening. But they couldn't deny their intense interest in the movement. Many movies and TV programs with depictions of Hippies as a social threat, and many politicians and church leaders formed a chorus of moralizers committed to demonizing them, focusing on their use of drugs and "licentious" behaviors.
If there was any big mistake Hippies made, it would have been their overuse of mind-altering chemicals and herbs. Overdoses and "freak outs" were a problem.
Two years later, in 1969, a soulless twisted drifter named Charles Manson created his murderous "family" of delusional druggies, devoted to his criminal, manipulative leadership that resulted in a grisly mass murder.
That tragic event didn't help the Hippies' image.

MEMORIES OF UAPRO
It was July 1967 and Miles and I appeared at a UFO contactee convention at the Seattle (WA) Center's Rainier Room, where Major Wayne Sulo Aho (Ret., Army Intelligence) and Maury Island mystery man, Fred Lee Crisman, spoke to a small but enthusiastic crowd. I put in my 2-minute pitch for my UFO group, UAPRO, and got 'em laughing it up over a joke I've now forgotten at age 72.
In any case, it's where I met former OSS agent Crisman, which began a series of letter exchanges with him and his pal, Harold Dahl, the two principal witnesses of a formation of doughnut-shaped aerial objects maneuvering over Puget Sound's Maury Island, June 21, 1947.
The saucers reportedly set their salvage boat on fire and killed Dahl's dog with burning "slag" falling upon them. It was shortly before the legendary Mt. Rainier UFO fleet witnessed by Kenneth Arnold June 24th of that year, which historians set as the beginning of the modern UFO era that has taken on wholly new dimensions since 2017's Pentagon revelations.
All the details, my letter exchange with Crisman and Dahl, and much more is in Kenn Thomas' two intriguing volumes on the Maury Island UFO incident: JFK & UFO: Military-Industrial Conspiracy and Cover-Up from Maury Island to Dallas and Maury Island UFO: The Crisman Conspiracy.
Wayne Aho was a UFO contactee who with his sidekick Lenora Croft headed his group, New Age Foundation, in Eatonville, WA, a combination of Christianity and UFO alien's wisdom supposedly relayed psychically to him and her. Aho reported he'd first encountered one of their saucers while driving through the Mojave Desert at night, May 11, 1957, receiving psychic messages the world was heading for an apocalypse. Yet, not to fear, the highly superior "space brothers" would somehow save us from ourselves.

THE 'SUMMER OF LOVE' AND TEENAGE UFOLOGISTS
Aaahh, those were THE days! June 1967, in the so-called "Summer of Love". While the nation experienced "hippies" tripping on LSD, reeled from anti-war, civil rights protests and riots, UAPRO had joyfully united with Seattle's UFORC to arrange a "UFO Exhibition" at the Auburn (WA) Public Library. It ran for five days over a two-week period.
One of those days was June 24th which was the 20th anniversary of Kenneth Arnold's 1947 sighting of nine shiny metallic "saucers" flying in formation near Mt. Rainier. That officially began the modern UFO era, prompting the USAF to set up an investigation that was eventually renamed Project Bluebook.
Our library exhibition hosted five local UFO personalities or "experts" as speakers, with hundreds of news clippings, UFO photos, models, books, a slide show and some eerie early electronic music filling the large multi-purpose room. Hundreds came to see our exhibition. And that publicity carried over to a series of live talk-show appearances locally.

THE REAL AUTHENTIC UAPRO
I'm the actual living Director of UAPRO. 100% authentic! You shall have no ufologists before me! I am a jealous Director. You are reminded that terrestrially born parahumans and/or extraterrestrials are living amongst us with some looking just like everyone else. Others appearing as bulb-headed, almond-eyed 4 ft. humanoids often without clothes and looking very much alike.
Or more accurately, that's a hypothesis. So don't bet on it, please.
There's a knock-off site called "The Gary Lesley Fan Site" on tumblr.com that is run by an internet malcontent dead set on taking credit for my achievements decades ago. It won't be long until he'll be abducted by aliens or a Bigfoot for his sinister efforts to undermine me. It doesn't bother me much, though, since I know he's just insanely envious.
Gary Lesley, Director of UAPRO (1965-70)
